April 15, 201313 yr Author Buble achieves highest first-week sales of career by Paul Willams Michael Buble's To Be Loved is heading for No 1 in the UK this Sunday having already achieved the highest first-week sales of his career. With two days of trading still to go, the Reprise/Warner Bros album had sold 92,226 copies by the end of business on Thursday, according to the Official Charts Company. That already beats the Canadian's previous best opening tally of 78,006 with Crazy Love in October 209, while his last album Christmas started with 53,736 sales in October 2011. However, both his last albums clocked up higher tallies a number of weeks after being released with Crazy Love shifting 251,843 copies during 2009's main Christmas shopping week and its follow-up Christmas attracting 317,114 buyers over the corresponding week in 2011. Some 70,000 sales behind Buble currently at No 2 is Save Rock And Roll, the new album from Def Jam/Virgin EMI's Fall Out Boy, while Polydor act Yeah Yeah Yeahs' newly-issued Mosquito is new at 7. Virgin act Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events climbs 4-3 with sales up 80% to swap places with Pink's RCA album The Truth About Love, while fellow RCA release The 20/20 Experience by Justin Timberlake falls 2-5. Parmore's self-titled Atlantic/Fueled By Ramen album is now down to 6 after debuting at 1 last Sunday. Rudimental are heading for their second No1 on the singles chart with the Asylum-issued Waiting All Night featuring Ella Eyre more than 25,000 sales ahead currently of its closest rival, will.i.am's new Interscope/Polydor single Thatpower featuring Justin Bieber. Ministry of Sound's Need U (100 Percent) by Duke Dumont featuring A*M*E drops to 3 having secured a second week at the top last Sunday, while Pink's RCA track Give Me A Reason featuring Nate Ruess is down 3-4. The Pitbull single Feel This Moment featuring Christina Aguilera and released by J/MR 305/Polo Grounds holds at 5. Meanwhile, Gangnam Style star PSY will remove any one hit-wonder status he still has this weekend with his new Republic/Island single Gentleman having vaulted 61-9 in the midweeks. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 Rudimental/Ella Eyre (25k ahead) 2 will.i.am/Justin Bieber 3 Duke Dumont/A*M*E 4 P!nk 5 Pitbull/Christina Aguilera 6-10 9 Psy 10 Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding 11-20 Clean Bandit 16 Macklemore/Ryan Lewis/Ray Dalton 18 Iggy Azalea 21-30 Emeli Sande 24 Little Mix/Missy Elliot Mat Zo/Porter Robinson 31-40 34 will.i.am/Miley Cyrus Haim Fall Out Boy ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Michael Buble (92.2k) 2 Fall Out Boy (22k) 3 Emeli Sande 4 Pink 5 Justin Timberlake 6-10 7 Yeah Yeah Yeahs 11-20 11 Caro Emerald Mumford & Sons The Lumineers Stereophonics 20 Taylor Swift 21-30 Steve Earle 24 Laura Mvula 29 Angel 30 Michael Buble {Crazy Love} 31-40 Kid Cudi Major Lazer Iron & Wine Ghost BC NO SALES INFO

April 16, 201313 yr How do you find out where the tweets that tell you the respective chart positions are? Is it under a particular hash tag? Edited April 16, 201313 yr by Griefeon
April 16, 201313 yr How do you find out where the tweets that tell you the respective chart positions are? Is it under a particular hash tag? I just search for 'Midweeks', 'Midweek Chart' etc, nothing tweeted so far today.
April 16, 201313 yr The OCC just retweeted lee Thompson on twitter who said that "Michael Buble has never had an album enter at no1 on its week of release until now. His new one is outselling the rest of the top 10 combine" Good news for sales hopefully although the no10 on sunday barely sold 8k copies - still should clear 100k though!!

Tbh, that doesn't really say much since the rest of the top 10 combined have probably sold about 100 copies between them.
April 16, 201313 yr When was the last time an album outsold the rest of the Top 10 combined? It's highly unlikely that that will remain the case all week. Not surprised at it being the case today though, he is going to take the #1 by a mile. Fall Out Boy and sadly probably Emeli Sandé making up the rest of the top 3.

April 16, 201313 yr I'd expect Paramore to remain T3 this week. They might be top 5 but I don't think they'll keep ahead of Emeli especially as she's probably increasing sales again due to cut price on iTunes / 'Read All About It (Pt. III)' being used on BGT. It wouldn't surprise me if they ended up #7 or lower though (behind the 2 new albums + Emeli, Justin, P!nk and Bruno).
April 16, 201313 yr It wouldn't surprise me if they ended up #7 or lower though (behind the 2 new albums + Emeli, Justin, P!nk and Bruno). Do you think it would drop to as low as 10k? Bruno Mars sold 11,600 copies last week at #6 and I can't see it increasing this week, so Paramore wouldn't do much more than 10k if it was behind him.
April 17, 201313 yr Author twitter https://twitter.com/chloemelick chloe melick @chloemelick 4m Seeing Rudimental almost doubling http://Will.i.am and Bieber's sales in the midweeks almost restores my faith.
April 17, 201313 yr Author Will Ding Dong plummet out of the top 40? I think that's going to go out of the top 75 completely, which will be the highest track beating the record of the Donkey track from #3, its hardly doing anything on iTunes just yet.
