Posted April 18, 201312 yr Just confirmed by the man himself on Twitter: http://media.tumblr.com/b30c930a317436abbad3fa04d3b23493/tumblr_inline_mlgf2oxLFw1qz4rgp.png I was hoping it'd be this or 'Hey You Beautiful' next so I'm happy. Ed Drewett co-wrote this one as well. Hope the B-side will be the acoustic version he did on 'Xtra Factor' and 'This Morning' last year! Edited August 26, 201311 yr by ThePensmith
April 18, 201312 yr 'Right Place Right Time' really would've been the perfect summer single, but this is one of the stronger tracks on the album so it's not too bad a decision I suppose.
April 18, 201312 yr Thread title changed to fit pop forum rules. Alright choice but I'm curious as to how it will do. Olly's only prior song to be released as a second post-album single did terribly so I'm not expecting this to do half as well as 'Army of Two'.
April 18, 201312 yr Author I think with the right promo and decent airplay (which I'm confident this will get unlike 'Heart on My Sleeve' which was the last 'ballad' he released) it'll do well. He'll be back in the UK in three weeks for his summer shows so he should be able to get some ground coverage going.
April 18, 201312 yr What A Buzz is my favourite song on the album besides Troublemaker, it's so instant and hooky. Shame it'll probably never get a single push but I'm not sure how well it would go down anyway. This will probably be a nice safe top 20/30 hit for him, it's nice and that's it.
April 18, 201312 yr This reminds me of Yasmin 'On My Own'/Emeli Sande 'Heaven' and the like, for some reason. I really hope it does well for him! It's easy to see why it was chosen as the third single though and I think it's the best we could get from him if he wanted a summer ballad to follow the two uptempo, leads. I would love 'Right Place, Right Time' or 'What A Buzz' to be released as the fourth (and fifth?) singles though.
April 20, 201312 yr Decent single choice, I can't see it bothering the charts that much! If Right Place Right Time is not a single, I will be disgusted.
April 22, 201312 yr Author Video shoot is today in Los Angeles...be interesting to see what the video for this one's like. It would really owe itself to being shot in black and white a la JLS' "Love You More" video for me.
April 22, 201312 yr This and What A Buzz are my favourites from his album so I am happy he is releasing this. Army Of Two should have never been released as a single. Awful video too.
April 22, 201312 yr I don't understand why 'Army Of Two' seems to be so hated. I only like a select few songs of his, but I liked that one! 'Oh My Goodness' is the true horror of a single which should never have happened.
April 25, 201312 yr "Army Of Two" is my favourite Olly Murs song, really glad it was released. It's a bit silly that the chorus is out of his range, but it was so different to his usual stuff. I'm alright with this as a single, it would have been my choice for fourth single, I just wanted "Right Place Right Time" first. After seeing him live, it was one of the ones that really stood out. The "right here and now feels like forever, never touch the ground when we're together" bit felt so anthemic/euphoric. But yeah, this is a good choice. I don't really understand the "What A Buzz" love, it's ok, but the three singles are better choices - along with Right Place Right Time, Hey You Beautiful, Loud And Clear, Personal and possibly One Of These Days. He didn't do it on tour either, so the chances of it seeing a release are low.
April 26, 201312 yr Author Behind the scenes on the video shoot in Los Angeles. They also had a few snippets from the video shoot on Daybreak and Lorraine the other day which are on my YouTube, OM Daily!
May 5, 201312 yr Author Rumours flying around that he's performing this on live shows of 'Britain's Got Talent' soon...would be awesome if that was true! Already C-listed at BBC Radio 1...we should be seeing the video this week according to his Tweets on Friday!
May 5, 201312 yr Of course he'll be performing on BGT, he's signed to Syco. The shock would be if he wasn't!
