Posted April 23, 201312 yr The first trailer to the highly anticipated sequel to 'Thor', went online today! 7p7rocHEecE Looks excellent! I haven't seen the first one in full though (only bits and bobs and I'm planning on watching it within the next couple of days), but after 'The Avengers', my anticipation for this is sky high (as any film to do with Marvel ) EXCITING.
April 23, 201312 yr OH MY ACTUAL FUCKING GOD. Kat Dennings is back. THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. KAT FREAKING DENNINGS. She was truly OUTSTANDING in the first film. I was praying they would bring her back, she was far too good not to utilise again and again.
April 24, 201312 yr I can't wait for this, Thor was one of my favourite films ever and is my fave from The Avengers. Him and Loki are amazing
April 24, 201312 yr Looks excellent! I haven't seen the first one in full though You must watch it, it's excellent. I'm looking forward to this a lot more than 'Iron Man 3'; then again I saw 'Thor' but never saw either 'Iron Man' 1 or 2...

October 1, 201311 yr Going to see this as part of a marathon! Book tickets with Cineworld for £18 to go see Thor then Avengers Assemble and then Thor: The Dark World at the IMAX in Edinburgh!!!! Starts at 7pm on October 29th and I can't wait! Same, only in Ipswich and only paying £4.14 as I have an Unlimited card. :P Should be good, both 'Thor' and 'Avengers Assemble' we're excellent (though I'm a little concerned, as 'Iron Man 3' wasn't great, hopefully just a Marvel blip!).
October 30, 201311 yr Author It's enjoyable! I far preferred it far more to the first 'Thor', which I found to be extremely dull and uneventful for the most part. There's still something missing to stop me from completely adoring 'Thor' though and I have no idea what it is as I love Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth is pretty great too. I just think it's too "sci-fi" for me I guess. But nonetheless, it's the best superhero film of this year. Pretty easily too!
November 5, 201311 yr IN-CRED-IBLE The first Thor was the best (non Avengers) Marvel movie, but this is in a different league. It felt properly EPIC in it's scale and complexity. I would also like to say to a certain Mr. Abrams that THIS is how you do Sci-Fi in 2013. It CAN have heart and soul and still be populist. Anyway I did shed a small tear of JOY when the ever divine Alice Krige popped up on my screen, even in a very minor role. Same goes for Rene Russo, though obviously she got a few kick ass scenes. It was very amusing too, lots of little jokes, much like in SHIELD, that you could easily miss but all the same raise the movie above the standard action/thriller fare. There were a few small detractors stopping this from being as good as The Avengers though. A few of the CGI scenes were dodgy, especially the first scene when Jane gets the Aether inside her and indeed a few of the other Aether scenes were dodgy too. Plus, and this is just a niggle, but Greenwich is not 3 stops from Charing Cross! Overall nearly perfect, well acted, well paced, very funny. 9.5/10
November 6, 201311 yr Much more epic than the first Thor movie, the Avengers budget has obviously had spill-over, but a film of two halves to me, first half ponderous and the usual myth-based "grand" pontifications that movies love, the second half a romp in the Avengers style. I'll take the second half, myself, I like my super-heroes to have a sense of humour in amongst the drama. B-)
November 6, 201311 yr One of the best movies seen this year, so much better than the first one, the action sequences are fantastic the ending at Greenwich was a bit naff though, at least it was wasn't naff like the Superman's final battle sequence at the end of the film. I read a review about the film that Tom Hiddleston was originally cast as Thor, Tom is brilliant as Loki. I loved the Shield references and Captain America appearing for a brief moment
November 6, 201311 yr Adored this, I loved the first but this was even better, lots of sci-fi but lots of action and I loved the Loki/Thor comedy towards the end, definitely my favourite of all the Avenger films without a doubt.
November 8, 201311 yr I loved the film, and thought it was so much better than the original. Can't wait to find out what happens next, particularly with the scene after the credits. Plus, and this is just a niggle, but Greenwich is not 3 stops from Charing Cross! Yeah I thought that too, but I guess that's more exciting on film than: "take an Overground train to London Bridge (unless there are engineering works) and then take the Jubilee line to North Greenwich. Once there, hop on a bus to Greenwich High Street and Bob's your uncle."
November 18, 201311 yr This was such a step-up from the first Thor. Felt much more self-contained, as opposed to being a stepping stone to the Avengers movie like the first (as well as Cap/Iron Man 2). It set things up for the future, but was much more complete. And it got the balance between serious and funny perfectly I thought.

Filming locations for the underground are obviously restricted, but how much does a bit of set-dressing cost? This was a step down from the first for me, mainly because Chris Hemsworth wasn't allowed to be as funny as before. And the Dark World itself was so underimagined.
