Do we think these CD and vinyl bundles are classed as two separate sales? I mean, not as though they are cheap.

had a few listens to the album sampler and by the sound of it the album is body language part 2 which is a huge disappointment for me, im not liking the kiss me once era at all so far and really had hoped for a stronger return.

Meh, I found the album a bit bland on the first listen, will take a few more listens to be a grower on me. Only "Million Miles", "I was gonna cancel" & "Les Sex" have single potential. "If only" & "Fine" are brilliant!

 

I will definitely cancel "Beautiful" on my spotify playlist.

Second half is so much stronger. It's a fantastic companion piece to X.

I Was Gonna Cancel and Beautiful are the only ones I am not totally sold on. If Only is a pure 12/10 moment.

I love "Beautiful"... bar the dodgy autotune trying to make it sound like their trying to harmonise.

I'll be listening to the album in full later tonight but I've had 'Les Sex' on repeat since I go back home. I reckon this is going to be my favourite album track, loved it ever since that live performance. :wub:

Overall, it's okay but a definite disappointment for a Kylie album. To me, a lot of the material is inoffensive and nice, but none of it has completely wowed me. I can see some of the songs growing on me more, but as an overall album, it doesn't leave much of an impression. Sorry Kylie :(

I will have to agree with your comment, none of the material is wowing me and i find its extremely underwhelming after a four year wait. With new management etc. i really expected Kylie to come back fighting more than ever with the new album and she has not done so. I feel this era will be a struggle for, lead single struggling for a top 10 place and if beautiful is the second single it will kill any potential the album has. Beautiful as single 2 is a massive mistake, if the album has any chance Les Sex and If Only need to be single 2 and 3. That said, i feel X era all over again where all the wrong choice of singles and the order of release are going to happen again and if so its simply frustrating.

 

From the snippets i heard i am starting to believe that if certain songs of X and aphrodite were mixed with 2-3 songs of this album we would finally have got a cohesive collection from Kylie which i dont think we have got since the release of Fever. Sorry Kylie, i so wanted to say i am excited for this album but i cant but i wish the album every success.

I liked the album. It's safe and nice and she knows no point in making the Rihanna or Katy Perry style of music because at 45, she doesn't attract that kind of audience anymore anyway. This album doesn't break any barriers or anything, but comes across as a mature pop/dance effort. It's not embarrassing like MDNA was, and not wannabe as well.

 

My favourites are the PWL'y title track and album closer Fine. I also loved "Feels so good". The most disappointing was "Sexercise" because the clips made it sound so much promising, but looks like all the good bits of the song were delivered in the clip itself. To me it's a posher more well structured Nudity.

The choruses of 'If Only' and 'Kiss Me Once' are PERFECTION :wub: And I regret ever saying 'Sexercize' was weak - after a few listens it is fantastic!

If Only really is just stunning, by far the best thing she has done in years. YASS Kylie.

"Sexy love" has that "Feel so good" vibe (the one by Atomic Kitten).

Aphrodite was certainly a much stronger and far more cohesive album than kiss me once or x. I'm afraid the new album reminds me of x part 2. A couple of good songs but lots of fillers and not loads standing out. I think this will be her overall lowest selling studio album for parlophone.

Cohesive doesn't always mean better quality. Aphrodite is a good album but it can get a bit dull and repetitive. The reason I adore X and KMO so much is because of their

general lack of cohesiveness.
