Is 'You Know You Like It' being released as the 2nd AlunaGeorge single, then? Hopelessly confused at the surge.

Nope "You Know You Like It" was their first single, then "Your Drums, Your Love" was the second single.

So, No. :P

An all-male iTunes top 10 then. :o Bar featured artists of course.

I think we had an all-male top 10 on iTunes in 2011 too (coincidentally it was around the time Iris re-entered the top 10 that year as well!).

The chart has always been male dominated though, at least since I started following it. People say it's dominated by "pop girls", but whenever I've actually looked at the chart and made a list it's always been mostly male. And it's even more male-dominated in the US than here.

It could get re-released like Can't Hold Us, dog Days Are Over, etc.

I'm so glad that Diane Young gained popularity in the last days..

 #48 Vampire Weekend - Diane Young

Maybe top 40 hit next week. ^_^

Just thinking imagine Daft Punk actually came to the uk to promote this release/album sales would be even more mental!!

 57. Ariana Grande - The Way (feat. Mac Miller)

Incredible longevity! Will this be anywhere near 75,000 sales or so now?

I don't know half of the songs in the charts atm, I'm living in the 90s haha
Jools Holland really has been helping tracks quite a lot in the past 2 weeks. Obviously the increase in airplay for both Diane Young & Attracting Flies contributed as well but still. The day after the past 2 shows, both songs rised considerably.

Single EP pre-orders (album chart):

22. So Good To Me EP - Chris Malinchak

50. La La La (feat. Sam Smith) EP - Naughty Boy

137. Carry You EP - Union J

139. This Is What It Feels Like (feat. Trevor Guthrie) - Armin van Buuren

157. Panic Cord EP - Gabrielle Aplin

195. Blackout (feat. Shakka) EP - Wretch 32

238. Endorphins (feat. Alex Clare) EP - Sub Focus

323. Soundbwoy EP - Stylo G

343. Antenna (Remixes) EP - Fuse ODG

The Naughty Boy EP has done amazing so far! Was initially thinking 'Endorphins' would easily reach the top 10, but i'm not really sure now - is there even a video for it yet?

This is going to SMASH.

Silly geek style question alert but... I'm wondering what the longest period is that a song has been so far ahead on itunes compared to the competition. I can't recall anything right now that lasted 2x for so long.

I hope this can go top 40 at least, I've seen the video on TV a couple of times!

^ Yet another shining example of OA/OS working well for bands/new artists. I believe the rise is in part to the Maida Vale session they did tonight on Zane Lowe's show. Could potentially climb into the top 40 tomorrow.

Hope Diane Young claims a top 40 place next week and keeps rising with radio 1 support!

It's a good question I've never known a song to be 50% ahead for 2 whole weeks and for a single outside of charity or XF season to sell not just over a 100k copies a week but well over that mark for so far 2 chart weeks in a row. It could be 3 next week too!

Great to see!

I don't think it will make 3 weeks with a x2 sale though... I think the Chris Malinchik track will come very close (if not overtake) Daft Punk - going to be a close one next week!

It won't be 50% ahead next week with a new held back release and a big one at that but it should do over 100k again and maybe even the next week after that too!
As if Mika's top 100 with Popular Song :o Must be thanks to Ariana Grande's feature, she seems to have a big fanbase here somehow!
Passenger increasing by 3% this evening will be no3 soon and Get Lucky falling a bit finally

32. Here's To Everything (Ooh La La) [Radio Edit] - Misha B
