Yeah I noticed the vocals on the download do sound different, but I'll have got used to them with a few listens I'm sure!

If you combined the sales of the EP and the extended mix I'm sure it would be closing in on the top 2 ;)

6. Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me (Radio Edit) (+21)

15. Armin van Buuren - This Is What It Feels Like (feat. Trevor Guthrie) (+86)

55. Panic Cord - Gabrielle Aplin

66. Drumsound & Bassline Smith - One In a Million (Radio Edit) [feat. Fleur]

I think Daft Punk will have a 4/5 weeks run at the top as there doesn't seem to be any big new releases over the coming weeks (at least not #1 contenders anyway). Passenger may be lucky to sneak in a week (as its sure to not peak for a couple of weeks yet) but I do fear that it could stall at #2 but still with big sales.

Am I the only one who think that Union J doesn't have a hope at being #1? There's more contenders for #1 in June though like Jason Derulo and Robin Thicke.

Oooh, June seems like a good month for releases, much better than what we've got this week.

Ugh, can't believe that passenger crap is still in the charts

I wish that Panic Cord's chart performance would be switched with Please Don't Say You Love Me's chart performance. :( Now that was a pile of crap.
We've got Wretch 32 next week as well, I saw on my Sky Digital TV guide that he's going to appear on Sunday Brunch next Sunday to perform so that should help give it a good headstart.

Naughty Boy, Wretch 32 and Demi Lovato will all be big, but Daft Punk will probably stay #1 until the week after their album release, i think Passenger have a chance of overtaking then

Union J (and probably The Wanted's new single) are a certainty sadly; the song is the biggest NON-ENTITY ever, but the hype/fanbase/airplay will get it there

I'd be very happy to see Union J stall and enter at #2 (or lower) but the week 'Carry You' is released, the record company will pump so much money into their 5 day promotional campaign, they might as just buy the #1 single for that week. :P

If 'What Makes You Beautiful' could drop 01-03 after selling around 150k in its first week, Union J will be very lucky to sell that much and their tail off is bound to be sharper. A 01-04-13-32 chart run wouldn't surprise me at all right now.

As for 'Blurred Lines', I can't deny how much it's growing on me. In fact, I reckon there's a possibility of Robin Thicke knocking Daft Punk off the top. Would be quite a feat for featured vocalist Pharrell. When was the last time a featured artist appeared on two back to back UK #1 hits?

Unlike the overrated Get Lucky, Blurred Lines is AMAZING  I'd love to see it at #1, so catchy and so addictive and funky!

THIS THIS THIS. I just don't get why people are loving it so much. It borders on horrible in my opinion.

The charts will always have boybands that sell and get no1s it takes a very special one though to grab the publics attention for longer than the 5 year lifecycle and create genuinely good pop songs like Take That!

I completely agree with your first point, I can see Naughty Boy and Wretch going top 3/5 but not quite enough to overtake Daft Punk. Of course Passenger could get stuck at #2/#3 but like you say, it still has a chance, after all several songs over the years have climbed like Fun. & Gotye plus LHG isn't even in full rotation on TV/Radio yet. DP can't hold that lead for more than a couple more weeks surely? Who knows.

I just have a feeling Union J won't quite get it, think it will depend on Capital/Radio 1 airplay. I agree The Wanted will probably go to #1 though. June could be quite competitive with Robin Thicke (which I can see going to #1), Jason Derulo, Icona Pop (judging by the Mobile ad its getting released at some point in June). Isn't Jessie J supposed to be releasing as well?

It takes a very special song to grab the public's attention and keep a boyband at #1 for more than 1 week. The last time this happened was 'Glad You Came' by The Wanted. Before that, it was JLS 'Beat Again' in 2009. Take That 'Shine' was the time before that. :P

I just don't see Union J achieving that. I've yet to hear 'Walks Like Rihanna' so who knows how the new single by The Wanted is going to fare.

Just because What Makes You Beautiful didn't spend an extra week at #1, it doesn't mean it wasn't hugely popular everywhere.

I was just thinking that song falls into the category of a song which captured the public's imagination, regardless of whether it only spent one week there.
