Cool. Caro Emerald at 1 and 40 on album chart. Anyone else had a chart sandwich, as such?

Would be wonderful to see 'No Air' back in the top 40. One of the best R&B songs of the last few years!

Come on Demi. Please don't stall just yet. Get to #2 on iTunes at least, please!

Guess you guys were right, I didn't expect ANY of the new entries to even trouble the top 10 lol!

Today, had BBC1 on and they played Pink - I usually punish the station that plays that screeching battle by not listening for around 1 hour and switching to Capital or from Capital to BBC. I was just abut to punish it when I realised it was the Chart Show haha!

I'm surprised how high Demi is, I don't think she pass Passenger though, I should imagine it will start falling back later in the week. I think Daft Punk has still got at least another 2 weeks at #1. I wouldn't rule out Passenger just yet, if the top 2 sales start even out between them. Passenger is beginning to feel like Moves Like Jagger getting stuck at #2 for a few weeks.

Wouldn't you be permanently switching between stations then? If you listen to rhythmic stations like Kiss FM, etc. you never have to worry, since they hardly ever play Pink (or any slow songs in general).

Passenger hasn't even spent a week at #2 yet! Although I do agree that it seems like it'll spend a long time in the chart but doesn't quite have the hype to boost it to #1 unless it's performed/used somewhere on TV.

If you like No Air, you should listen to Far Away by Jay Sean/Keisha Buchanan and Pyramid by Charice/Iyaz.

Stooshe have already went light green and Titch has already went dark red, it should be #13 soon.

08. Wretch 32 - Blackout

15. Sub Focus Feat Alex Clare - Endorphins

23. Birdy - People Help The People

24. John Legend - Ordinary People

33. Gabrielle Aplin - Panic Cord

42. Of Monsters And Men - Little Talks

45. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us

47. Carly Rae Jepsen - Tonight I'm Getting Over You

49. Fun - Some Nights

57. Jordin Sparks Feat Chris Brown - No Air & #78

Pretty much! :arrr: 2013 has been my worst year for music since early 2000s' abundance of cheesy rnb! It gets especally bad when I start punishing them for playing TImberlake's Mirror's too!

Edited by Michael.

Demi has done amazingly well to get into the top 3, I hope she can stay in the top 10 longer than Nicole managed with 'Boomerang' as Demi's current iTunes release is nearly identical to what Nicole managed!

Also I am so delighted Tich has managed to reach #12 on iTunes, I never believed she could have done this well with no Radio 1 or Capital airplay. It really shows that radio tours and gigs really can help build a fanbase and do really well in the chart! I know she will probably drop very quickly now, but to get this high in the first place is just incredible!

Hopefully you like Daft Punk's song, since that's probably being played by every radio station in the country (apart from the rock stations). You'd be punishing quite a lot of stations otherwize.

*Otherwise <_<

I actually think 2013 has been one of the best years in recent times, so many gems. There's not one genre dominating or over saturating either, I know there's a lot of dance but I like that there's more respectable sounding dance tracks shining through.

I agree with what you say about 2013. So far it's been my favourite year since 2007 or 2008. I hopefully won't be having any melt-downs at the end of the year about how bad the charts have been this time.

I was expecting 2013 to be good though, since even in 2012 it was already noticeable that things were starting to diversify.

I don't get the 'Boomerang' (assuming people mean this as opposed to any other N Scherz song) and 'Heart Attack' comparisons. At all. 'Heart Attack' will be far bigger, especially because it has radio airplay/been playlisted. So it's not going to fall away anywhere near as fast! (Fully expecting it to now I've said this though ). I predict 10-13 weeks top 40 for 'Heart Attack'.
