July 13, 201411 yr yahoo! Let's be honest, I'm always going to love Doctor Who and a new Doctor
July 19, 201410 yr So we now apparently have a full set of episode titles *.* 8.1 Deep Breath 8.2 Into the Dalek 8.3 Robots of Sherwood 8.4 Listen 8.5 Time Heist 8.6 The Caretaker 8.7 Kill the Moon 8.8 Mummy on the Orient Express 8.9 Flatline 8.10 Child's Play 8.11 The Gates of Paradise 8.12 Death in Heaven
July 19, 201410 yr It sounds like the last two will be a two parter then? Yep! Both written by Steven Moffat *.*
July 21, 201410 yr If they do it right, it should be a good old fun ROMP, which DW used to be so good at.
July 25, 201410 yr The title for 8.8 somewhat references The Doctor's telephone call at the end of The Big Bang 'an Egyptian goddess on the loose... on the orient express... in space' Maybe this idea's been knocking around a while
July 25, 201410 yr I definitely think that will be the case because Moffat said this in SFX Magazine: Brilliant script. Brilliant idea for a monster. It looks stunning, in a very glamorous way. And it has Foxes singing. There's a callback to something from Matt's first series. Sometimes I play a long game. And sometimes I just think "We never actually tied that off... shall we just go and sort that now?" Usually because I think it would be incredibly funny. I like the idea that the Doctor takes that long. "Yes, I'll be there in a moment!" Several years later...
August 5, 201410 yr Foxes may be singing in the TARDIS XD Pop star Foxes makes a special appearance in the new series of Doctor Who, but she would have turned down the role if it hadn't involved singing in the TARDIS, claims the Daily Star.
August 5, 201410 yr Steven Moffat has spoken a little about the story arc this year stating that it will only take up a small chunk of each episode in the lead up to the finale. Think Series Five, rather than Six. Responding in EW, Moffat said: “Yes [there are over-arching plotlines], but at the same time 90 percent of every episode is a stand-alone adventure.” On the overall setting of each episode: “We’ve got quite a lot of Earth stuff this time. But it’s proper variety, and I think i’ll not tell you what’s going to be on the roller coaster in advance.” Teasing the big two-part finale he says: “It’s not just about the Cybermen. It’s a good, action-packed, mad one.” READY.
August 6, 201410 yr I do hope the Cybermen are actually used well this time around, I don't feel they've really been used to their full strength since Nu Who began. But less over-arching plotlines is a good thing, it ruined season 6 really.
August 7, 201410 yr Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman will both be returning for the 2014 Christmas special! :cheer: Announced today at the 'Deep Breath' premiere in Cardiff that it starts filming immediately after the world tour is finished. Hopefully this also means Clara will be staying for series 9 and then she'll have out-lived Amy. And Rose. And Martha. And Donna *.*

Hopefully this also means Clara will be staying for series 9 and then she'll have out-lived Amy. And Rose. And Martha. And Donna *.* Surely with 2 and a half series that would make her equal with Amy? For me if she's going to justify lasting that long she needs to be developed as a character in some way, since now the idea of the 'impossible girl' is concluded she doesn't bring much to the table. Hopefully this season the writers have worked something out and she can play off of Capaldi's Doctor better as otherwise she's too much like a pale imitation of Amy
August 8, 201410 yr Donna should've outlived everyone :( :cheer: At there being stand alone (mostly) episodes this time. Really don't like the huge tie-overs, they just confuse me :P
August 8, 201410 yr I want some two parters though. And please can we have none of that singing is the solution rubbish and let's not make every villain a misunderstood creature who just needs to remember love. We need some badass villains.
