49k for Daft Punk so far, so perhaps over 90k but not quite over 100k? Also, with a 6k lead, I think Rod Stewart has the number one album in the bag.

I've noticed Emeli Sande is #8 even with the Royal Albert Hall performance on TV, so perhaps it will fall from the Top 10 by Sunday.

I dunno....I think she's pretty much a cert to take down Primal Scream who are currently above her, and possibly Agnetha too, and the only ones currently behind her I could see leapfrogging her are possibly Passenger and MAYBE at a total push Les Mis. So Emeli will be #8/9 at the lowest this week I think.

I think Mariah is looking for a #25 finish on Sunday.

Wasn't 'My Heart Takes Over' a pre-album release too? ;)

A lot of movement at the bottom end of the singles chart, bit of a clearout, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the lower tracks will fall out at the end of the week though.
Great to see Caro hanging on to that top 5 :D

Daft Punk should hopefully still be on course for 100k then - 49k in 3 days so another 4 to sell that again and 2k more. Might just fall short considering Sunday is the biggest sales day. Brilliant to see Sub Focus in the top 10 ahead of Stooshe now :cheer: Three great re-entries in the lower top 40 as well.

LOVING Rod Stewart beating Gabrielle to the #1 album :D Could see him stretching that 6.6k lead as well. Vampire Weekend were never going to get top 2, will be pleased if it can hold onto #3. Expected Emeli to climb more than one place in today's mids considering her RAH performance being on TV, of course she'll likely end up higher than #8 on Sunday anyway. Surely #9 should say 'Bastille', not 'Bad Blood'... :P

Yay for Macklemore's album looking like re-peaking again, had quite a yo-yo run so far. I could see it eventually reaching the top 10 when 'Same Love' is released.

The R.E.M. album should be marked as a re-entry - it's a re-release of their 1988 #27 album 'Green'.

MW mid report added with Liam's update on page 2, and page 1
Demi at #3! :cheer: She should stay top 5 by the end of the week I hope!

Picky, picky, picky! :P I had to use the version on the OCC website as the BBC 1 site is always slow to update the albums, so a couple of mistakes were inevitable. They'll be changed though. ;)

I had a strong feeling Rod Stewart would be number 1 and i am happy with that as i am positive he will stay there. Agnetha is starting of well but i suspect Emeli Sande will over take her and Primal Scream safely be top 7.

Once again Daft Punk selling strongly, i hope they can make the 100,000 again this week.

Great news for Rodders :D Can't wait to see him next month :w00t:

Great for Rod. Wonder what the album's like. Anyone here bought it?

I have it and its brilliant, my fave track atm is probably cant stop me now B-)

I'm inclined to believe Daft Punk will sell over 100k again, with half that after only 3 days! They could well do it again next week too, with the album out. Five weeks over 100k is amazing, so I hope they do!
Given the additional info of Rod's percentage lead, he and Gabrielle are on ~27.9k and ~21.3k respectively - not bad at all! Rod not too far off Caro's entire first week after only 2 days.
I would've thought that Vampire Weekend would've been a surefire contender for #1 album. It turns out that a lot of people just love Rod.

Did you really think that or was it just an excuse to use the phrase "love rod"?

A little bit of chart trivia

If Daft Punk manage 5 weeks at #1 with their album release next week, after a bit of checking, the last act to have 5 consecutive weeks at #1 is Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl, 16 Aug, 2008, as I wouldn't count Adele and Gotye as both acts returned back to #1, so I want Daft Punk to get 5 weeks now :D

I don't get how Jordin Sparks is at #40  shes not even top 75 on iTunes

She had two versions of the song in the top 100 earlier in the week (not sure if she does anymore). The song was discounted and performed on TV.

I thought that they'd stand a chance of a #1 album, given that their last one reached #2 and "Diane Young" appears to have had a lot more airplay than "Cousins". Although I can't miss an opportunity to stick in an innuendo when one presents itself.

Didn't expect to see Agnetha challenging for a top five, amazing!
