Hardly new releases if you take the ESC tracks out of the equation, I expect most of the ESC tracks will die away as the week goes by they usually do, with the exception of the winner.

 05. Naughty Boy ft Sam Smith // La La La

iTunes no.1 a certainty then. The way this is moving I wonder if it will dislodge those silly punks from no.1 on the official chart as well.

I know 'Get Lucky' will get a boost from the album release but will it be enough?

I think that Get Lucky will have a slight increase in sales, but not enough to be particularly notable (such as 10k-20k).
Also, I know that the Naughty Boy song is doing very well, but I don't see it as a potential #1. And even if it does go to #1, I'm cautious about how long it will stay in the charts for.
I would love Daft Punk to do the 'chart double' but Naughty Boy is looking very likely to be #1 now, he'll definitely be the iTunes #1 - we can hope that Daft Punk's 2nd version will bring their sales above Naughty Boy's.

I'm mystified at the possibility of how that awful NB song could shift Daft Punk.

Yes. Yes. YES! KEEP GOING :cheer:

This was one of my favourites, great to see it doing well.

I'm not very impressed by Only Teardrops winning to be honest, but it's not surprising that it did well - it couldn't sound more like a Eurovison entry

I agree in regards to 'Only Teardrops'. It's a lovely song, but I'm still trying to find out why it's a winner. I can see the appeal and why people voted for it, but not quite to the extent they did.

I'd have definitely preferred a Norwegian or Greek win myself.

I do like the Naughty Boy song quite a bit, but I want to see Daft Punk stay at number 1 for 5 weeks in a row before Robin Thicke (surely) overtakes next week. I think La La La will be number 1 on Wednesday and then fall behind later in the week, but it's anyone's guess - I'd say they'll both be over 100k!

On another note, it looks as if we could get 7 weeks in a row where the number 1 sells over 100k!

21/4 Rudimental 107k

28/4 Daft Punk 155k

5/5 Daft Punk 163k

12/5 Daft Punk 123k

19/5 Daft Punk (110k?)

26/5 Daft Punk or Naughty Boy

2/6 Robin Thicke

Year end top 20 im sure

I don't understand the appeal of that Thicke song either (even without the r*p parts)?

I still think it's going to be a close race for #1. I've noticed on other countries iTunes charts, they've got 'Get Lucky (Radio Edit)' and 'Get Lucky' (Album Version) both high up their iTunes charts so I reckon the album version of 'Get Lucky' is also possibly going to make the top 10 at least on UK iTunes once the album is released tomorrow. The combined sales could quite easily ensure Daft Punk get a fifth week at #1.

Me hoping... it be nice to actually have an act to spend 5 consecutive weeks at #1 for a change, they don't come round very often. Before the X Factor lark sets in later in the year.

I think (and hope!) this will happen as well.

I'm not actually sure that Robin Thicke will go to #1. I think that its potential chart success is getting rather overrated on here and many people might not even know what the song's called, despite knowing what it sounds like.
