Been there, done that with 'Chasing Cars'. :P And 'Iris' had been ineligible for the chart until 2007 so sort of counts too. But I do agree a version of 'Get Lucky' shouldn't be deleted, in fact no song should.

You know what I mean!!! :P

Maybe if 'Get Lucky' is deleted, it'll appear on the next Now! album and be cherry picked enough to make the iTunes top 10 again. Still, when a song is this popular the reasoning behind deleting the track makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe it's been decided so that they can concentrate on single #2 but I still think it's silly.

Surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to delete the only existing version of the radio edit of Get Lucky? I never understood deleting single versions of a song when the album got released, but in this case the versions are different so having both of them up would be a good idea.

Just being awkward, aren't I? :P

I've listened to the album and I think they are going to need as much help for whatever they choose as single #2 as possible! I don't like any of the tracks, but that aside, I don't really see any that would make good singles - 'Lose Yourself to Dance' at a push, but would they choose two back to back singles with the same artist? (No-one mention 'Feel the Love' and 'Not Giving In').

On the subject of future number 1s, anyone else think the new Katy B song could stand a chance when its eventually released?

That would be great, but seems really unlikely imo. It's MUCH better than the Lawson and Iggy Azalea tracks, so i'm definitely supporting it for highest new entry :D

'Instant Crush' surely?! I personally think it's even better than 'Get Lucky'.

Lose Yourself To Dance sounds like their best single choice, #85 on iTunes right now. But if I were Daft Punk I'd keep the momentum for Get Lucky going for as long as possible, I can't see anything else selling much.

The album version alone won't help the track become a million seller. :(

I don't think there's any chance of it falling short of a million now if it's going to pass 700k within less than 6 weeks, even if the single version is deleted :P

And as much as I'd love 'Chasing Cars' to be deleted just so it never re-enters again, deleting songs is really not something that should happen. More old songs need to be added to iTunes. The Beatles and AC/DC making their songs finally available were good steps in that direction.

73. Liquid Lunch - Caro Emerald

When i saw the title of this song "liquid ass" is what came to mind , anyone who watches Russell Howard's Good News will get the reference.

Off topic but I love that show

At the moment it's miles ahead but I may end up killing it off from overplaying.

Both of those have climbed like 200 places since yesterday (when they were both just outside the top 1000). I think the song will be top 40 maybe next week or the week after because of Capital.

I think it'll be a fleeting top 15 hit. As much as it's (slightly) grown on me, it's basically a weak attempt to recreate 'Where Have You Been' and has zero originality.

I really can't wait until this whole horrible era of hers has been left behind. :(

I agree, except I think it'll go top 10. I can see like a #7 peak or something. She also lost a lot of momentum because of Pour It Up flopping in the charts. I hope it doesn't do well anyway.

If Rihanna gets a video to Right Now then I can see it doing well .

I'm 99% we'll get a video to Right Now. She never doesn't do a video for her dance songs, and this one is actually a mainstream single in the US as well, while Pour It Up wasn't.

I still would be shocked to see 'Right Now' come close to the top 10. It's just such a painfully weak song -- I mean, just the fact David Guetta even let her have the song for her own album is proof enough that even he thinks the song is crap, because he always demands he gets his good songs for his own albums and a lead credit for himself. Plus, it doesn't look like there's going to be a video, or atleast there won't be one for a long time (she just used her only week off from touring to film a video for 'Pour It Up' instead). I think it'll stumble to about #16 at best before falling quickly.

Pretty sure 'Pour It Up' is getting an official video! Rihanna Daily were reporting it the other day, I think! :o

EDIT: Danny beat me to it! :P

'Where Have You Been' itself was a very weak attempt to recreate 'We Found Love'. 'Right Now' is better than 'Where Have You Been' IMO.

Very few songs in this world beat the epicness of Where Have You Been. *.*
