Even though Robin Thicke has never had a UK hit and T.I. and Pharrell aren't exactly the most relevant pair around right now, this seems to be shaping up to be a monster smash, it's already a massive hit in practically every country in the world apart from here and the US looking at various iTunes charts. Fans of old-skool Justin Timberlake should enjoy this, it very much sounds like something that could have been on Justified. Although honestly to me it sounds more like Madonna's Give It 2 Me (no surprise I guess considering that Pharrell produced that too).

 

I don't even know how this became such a big hit but I'm happy about it. I'm not even a huge fan of the song but at last there's something with a bit of style in the charts again + it's great to have the Neptunes back. It's #1 in the Dutch top100 and #8 in the Dutch top40.

The uncensored video gave this song a lot of press. It deserves it without the video though; Robin Thicke is way underrated.

I think this will be big. It's so catchy (most of Robin Thicke's songs are, but people are actually hearing this one!). Pharrell has been very lucky to feature on two massive hits at the same time! :lol:

T.I. raps the actual rap bit. Pharrell doesn't rap anything, he just made the beat and has background vocals I think.

 

Robin Thicke has premiered his next single as well, it's produced by will.i.am and Dr. Luke and is a bit departure musically for him. It sounds more like Boom Boom Pow and Like a G6. It might do well on the back of how big Blurred Lines will probably be.

If I just ignore the unoriginally desperate hashtags throughout the video and the fact that it does indeed rip-off Justin Timberlake (as if it's just a coincidence), it is actually a really catchy tune. I don't know whether it'll stay that way or within the next week I'm completely sold on it and will be calling for it be #1. :lol:

Sorry if there is a thread but I've just heard this new song Robin Thicke ft TI and Pharrell called Blurred Lines it is such a tune It's number 1 on US Itunes and 4music VIP Track of the week so hopefully it does well when released here which I think it will :)
