June 20, 201114 yr I've JUST listened to this and Cher actually has a very pleasant, easy voice to listen to (I wasn't quite sure how she'd sound considering she's rather "unique".) The song is a bit messy but definitely not awful. I can't really imagine what a second single would sound like though.
June 20, 201114 yr She needs a proper contemporary ballad I think. Either something by Stargate or something balls out along the lines of Stay...
June 20, 201114 yr I agree with you - I think an up-to-date Stay could be massive and she'd (obviously) do it really well, but it doesn't really fit into the sound she seems to have crafted herself (I know it's early days but still...) Even on The X Factor when I was blown away by Stay, I never thought she'd consider that sort of sound or song herself. She could be tempted to make an album of faux-dancey hip-hoppy songs with "swag" and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what we ended up with.
June 20, 201114 yr eugh i actually like this :( btw what does it sample, it's so obvious i cant think of it.
June 20, 201114 yr eugh i actually like this :( btw what does it sample, it's so obvious i cant think of it. My Darling Clementine is very heavily featured in it (is that sampling?) Kath
June 20, 201114 yr My Darling Clementine is very heavily featured in it (is that sampling?) Kath yes thank you :D yeah it is iguess.
June 20, 201114 yr The finished version is just as good as the demo! GAH. I'm ADDICTED  EDIT: Just caught up with the interview. MY GOD I LOVE HER. Seriously, love her  PIGEONS!
June 20, 201114 yr Finished verison much better than the verison. Still a heavy sample of 'One (Your Name' at the end of the song. How well do you think the single will do once it's released? Edited June 20, 201114 yr by ukcsf11
June 20, 201114 yr So, this has about as much swag as an Alexis Jordan track; I thought she wanted to be the next Nicki Minaj or somes balls out rapper or something? I'm actually glad she hasn't attempted to rap (yet); the song itself is just a so-so pop track that is all over the place with a grating chorus, and seems as desperate as Notorious did to make her sound hip and trendy. And no matter how good her Radio 1 interview is, it won't make up for the abomination that is her twitter account. Edited June 20, 201114 yr by Daniel II
June 20, 201114 yr It would seem I've had one of my UNPREDICTABLE CHANGES OF HEART over this. It's a complete mess, but the verses are AWESOME. Shame about the chorus like.
June 20, 201114 yr Tyron's Soundcloud link won't work for me :( Is there anywhere else I can listen to it?
June 20, 201114 yr God, I seriously like this now :( yes its a load of trash that won't win her any new fans, but its so 'her' (excuse me for using an X Factor judge cliché, but it does suit her well), and I did always like her on XF so I was bound to like it :P
June 20, 201114 yr Swagger Jagger is really catchy, I think it will do well :) its out to download 31st july by the way
June 20, 201114 yr I actually really like this. The chorus and middle 8 are great. The verses are alright but they do sound like a totally different song.
June 21, 201114 yr I despise this already, BUT clever use of 'Oh me darlin' Clementine' as this creates an immediate hook (see Cherly's Promise This as another example). I can see me liking it eventually :/
June 21, 201114 yr The more people hear it the more they will like it i think. Appartenly the video is out 1st july :) Then 'On Set With Cher Lloyd' is on MTV 9th july at 12pm & then she's doing T4OTB 10th july Edited June 21, 201114 yr by Brooke_x
