May 3, 201411 yr Starting to drop on iTunes now but still glad it's Top 40 - More than I was expecting this time last week! I think it will be able to hang around for a while now and then have a surge as the ESC impact starts.
May 4, 201411 yr UK now with a huge lead on the ESCNation poll http://tummiweb.com/scorewiz/poll/results Remember this poll doesn't allow you to vote for your own country
May 4, 201411 yr Those poll things, how have they been in the past? I think these are the correct results. The winner has been... http://www.tummiweb.com/scorewiz/scoreboar...ll-2013---final (Denmark) http://www.eurovisionfamily.tv/blog/read?id=140152 (Sweden)
May 4, 201411 yr It's hard to know what to believe poll wise this year as Sweden and Denmark were such clear all round favourites the last 2 years. I just can't see molly doing well enough to win as I don't think the song is strong enough to pick up high points across all of Europe - but I hope I'm wrong! I reckon it'll be Armenia and Hungary fighting for the win with Austria and Ukraine picking up points for obvious reasons but I hope it is a molly/ sanna battle with molly coming out on top.
May 4, 201411 yr UK now with a huge lead on the ESCNation poll http://tummiweb.com/scorewiz/poll/results Remember this poll doesn't allow you to vote for your own country Not sure how many people would bother but you can vote for your own country - When you register you just select that you are from another country and it allows you to vote for the country you are in.
May 4, 201411 yr Those poll things, how have they been in the past? In 2011 (the last 'wide open' year so to speak) Azerbaijan only came 7th in the poll, but their winner (Hungary) was one that was always obviously going to be a fan-fave that doesn't do so well in the actual contest. They did get Serbia and Germany in 2007 and 2010 though and I don't remember "Satellite" being such a done-deal in the way "Fairytale" and "Euphoria" were.
May 4, 201411 yr My twitter feed is a wash with positive feedback about Mollys first rehearsal, barring some tech problems with the in ear piece. Will be interesting to see if her odds change soon...
May 4, 201411 yr Clip uploaded - Amazing comments so far! "Matej Knez1 hour ago She'll win because of gold rain. It was the same with Azerbaijan 2011 with very boring song, and last year with Denmark. This year it'll be the same, but with very good song. I'll be happy, if ESC 2015 will be in UK. ;) Good luck from Slovenia! :)" Makes a good point tbf!
May 4, 201411 yr Bogdan: Molly delivers big time! After a few technical mishaps on the first run-through, it went better and better which each rehearsal, and the last run-through was flawless, a winner’s performance. She engages with the camera, she smiles and she even gives out a big “whoooo”, a clear sign that she is enjoying it. The floor and the background mirror each other and the dry ice offers a fairy-tale like impression. The waterfall pyros on the last chorus seals the deal: Molly is the people’s Eurovision princess this year, y’all. PS: The press centre went wild, too! http://wiwibloggs.com/2014/05/04/united-ki...hearsal/49180/# Can't wait to see it now! :cheer:
May 4, 201411 yr Author Cascada used golden rain too and it didn't really help them! :kink: But the reviews all sound very promising and from the description I've read about it going really dark just before the final chorus and then the golden rain coming down as that final chorus begins is exactly how I imagined the performance so I'm very pleased! The backdrop with the waving lights that we can just see suggests to me that the audience will be wearing those wristbands that light up (like the Russian performance had last year), and that will look very effective. Molly's odds are already below 10/1 in some places now, very good reaction to the rehearsal! :D
May 4, 201411 yr On Oddschecker Molly has turned blue meaning her odds are shortening - Just whacked a final £20 on her, the reaction has been incredible.
May 4, 201411 yr Molly surely should do just as well if not better than Jade Ewen, I mean its certainly better than some previous Uk entrants (Bonnie, Engelbert etc) Good Luck to her.
May 4, 201411 yr Author Very surprisingly, the BBC Red Button is apparently showing tonight's Eurovision opening ceremony from around 5pm! :o However, I can't see this on my TV guide so we'll have to see.
May 4, 201411 yr Author You can listen to Molly's interview with Heat Radio from a few days ago below. It's refreshing that Molly believes that it is the songs we've been sending that are responsible for our poor results compared to Bonnie last year who mentioned political voting in every single interview!
May 4, 201411 yr I had a dream we came 2nd last night, IT'S A SIGN :( I had a dream we won, but I missed seeing it because the TV broke and I was distraught. So for some reason I ran to Leicester Square and everyone was going crazy for Molly.
