Is the Ultimate UK Chart:

A - the UK Download Chart frozen at 4PM, which therefore means Blurred Lines is No.1 and Wild is at No.4

B - The Official Chart, which means La, La, La could be No.1

Hi guys, my retro favourites are:

2012

1- WE ARE YOUNG- Fun Ft Janelle Monae (72,977)

2- CHASING THE SUN- The Wanted (69,330)

3- CALL ME MAYBE- Carly Rae Jepsen (46,642)

4- R.I.P- Rita Ora Ft Tinie Tempah (43,116)

5- TOO CLOSE- Alex Clare (41,300)*

6- WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?- Rihanna (38,815)

7- PICKING UP THE PIECES- Paloma Faith (32,607)

8- DRIVE BY- Train (31,200)*

9- SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW- Gotye Ft Kimbra (29.100)*

10- YOUNG- Tulisa (28,600)*

One year on since Paloma's first and only Top 10 single. She deserves so much more success singles wise, even those with decent longevity like 'New York' and 'Never Tear Us Apart'.

2008

1- TAKE A BOW- Rihanna (41,005)

2- THAT’S NOT MY NAME- Ting Ting’s (37,621)

3- 4 MINUTES- Madonna Ft Justin Timberlake (23,400)*

4- HEARTBREAKER- Will.i.am Ft Cheryl Cole (19,900)*

5- BLACK & GOLD- Sam Sparro (18,700)*

7- WARWICK AVENUE- Duffy (15,300)*

9- CRY FOR YOU- September (13,200)*

I agree with Ne Plus Ultra that 'Distant Dreamer' should have been released as a single in place of 'Stepping Stone' (although that is good song too). Her Rockferry album is fantastic, I just wish I bought the deluxe version instead which holds 'Rain On Your Parade'.

2003

2- ROCK YOUR BODY- Justin Timberlake (38,000)

5- NO GOOD ADVICE- Girls Aloud (19,000)*

1998

NONE!

The chart should be the centrepiece of their schedule. These live sets could be played at any time.

Just listening to Jake Bugg's first song, how bad is he live compared to his record?

It normally is, this is one of the exceptions to it. One of the aims of the Big Weekend is to attract more listeners which doesn't happen if you stick to the regular programming.

EDIT: Looking forward to Naughty Boy getting a number one though. :D

Would be nice if The 1975 could stay Top 30 (seeing as the EP sales count towards its chart position), not sure where it was on Friday midweeks though..

More A. But it also includes Ireland now, too.

OK, we're still waiting for Radio 1 or UK Chart Company then. Don't tell me we have to wait 2 MORE HOURS!

They were at #25. They *may* do it.

Mmmm. Knowing the uk charts, I can almost guarantee it'll end up at #31 (which is still better than I was expecting this week)

A chart update after 6pm, with the Script performance around 6:15.

Some buzzjackers will want to celebrate:

Emeli Sande’s record breaking debut album drops out of the Official Albums Chart Top 10 for the first time since release.

Emeli Sande’s debut album, Our Version Of Events, has dropped out of the Official Albums Chart Top 10 for the first time since it was released in February of last year.

Our Version Of Events has clocked up a staggering 66 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 (including 10 weeks at Number 1), beating the previous record of 62 weeks held by The Beatles’ debut album, Please Please Me, for nearly 50 years. In its 67th week on the Chart, Our Version Of Events falls seven places from Number 8 to Number 15.

To date, Our Version Of Events has sold over 1.88 million copies in the UK alone. It was also the biggest selling album of 2012, and it is currently the biggest selling album of 2013 so far, too.

Happy that Evanescence re-entered and The Saturdays climbed a few places with 'What About Us' after quite a big drop last week.

Not surprised Emeli Sande fell out of the Top 10 albums this week, although I thought it would be slightly higher than #15 - I'm sure it was #16 on Wednesday and it usually has a decent weekend boost (3, 4, 5 places).
