I wouldn't, I would estimate around 1.8-2X (end of Tuesday sales) which is the range 162-180 K, so around a 10-20% decline.

Although it's been pretty stable since the Norton boost. If it really kept this up, using the 70k Daft Punk sold at the Weds mids the week they sold 163k as a benchmark it would be on 210k! No I don't imagine it will do that but the Norton boost is taking it's time to wear off.

Just think, it will have probably sold 500k by now.....

Great for Taylor's album finally picking up after the Britain's Got Talent performance and of course amazing that she's going to score a fourth top 10 hit from the album - the most for a female solo artist from one album since Katy Perry in 2011 with five (and equalling Jessie's four also in 2011)!

It wasn't exactly doing badly before? It was constantly top 31 until a month ago and has already re-entered the top 10 twice :P I do think its current boost will be a bit more long-lived though as it's only a matter of time before Heart and the like start hammering 'Everything Has Changed'. (Does anyone else think 'Everything Has Changed' sounds an awful lot like Taylor Swift just covering 'Lego House'? It even has '[x] you better' in the chorus :P)

Yeah, but its sales won't have been great. Even now only moving up to #10, they won't be great, but hopefully they'll push Red closer to being Taylor's highest-seller.

It's been underperforming a bit I think, considering it's already had 2 massive hits and another decent-sized hit. The team behind her was aiming to turn her into one of the biggest international female artists with this era, so they'd probably have been disappointed with the album's sales in the UK thus far (though I agree that 'Everything Has Changed' if it really becomes a big airplay hit is the kind of song that might sell some more albums).

The near enough static T10 contrasts the forever changing album charts. Disclosure down 1-4 already and QOTSA down 2-9 is quite disappointing to see. Of the three new entries, I'd actually rather see Beady Eye come on top; though these forever changing #1s are really bugging me.

Mariah Carey only down 24-26 after the weekend. Looking to actually re-peak this week, up to #21 on iTunes now (with R1 support growing); a fourth week at #24 would actually be quite comical though.

I think you've got to put into perspective how successful 'Red' has been for Taylor compared to her first three albums. Only 'Fearless' could have been as successful but I have no idea on the sales. When 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' was released, we could never have imagined Taylor would suddenly have 7 top 40 hits (and 4 top 10s) less than a year later considering she had managed 3 top 40 hits from her first 3 albums combined. I find that really incredible and I'm so glad!
Well, that's because it's a bit of a Father's Day week...

It's bugger all to do with that, mate.

I'm 23 and bought the deluxe edition on release day. Going to see them on tour as well and most of the people I know who have bought tickets are under 30.

It's just timeless, brilliant metal music, you don't have to be a father or an old man to appreciate that

The album chart is where the singles was ten years ago sales all packed into week one and overall sales very low!

Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines has smashed through half a million UK sales in under three weeks as it heads for another week at No 1.

The Interscope/Polydor track featuring TI and Pharrell Williams had sold another 135,883 copies this week up to the end of business on Thursday, taking its cumulative UK tally up to 527,105 units, according to the Official Charts Company. This makes it the fastest-selling single of 2013 and already makes it one of the five biggest-selling track of the year to date.

Immediately below Blurred Lines continues to be Virgin act Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith's La La La, which holds at 2 in the latest midweeks with Passenger's Nettwerk track Let Her Go climbing 4-3 to swap places with Daft Punk's Columbia-issued Get Lucky with Pharrell Williams. Olly Murs' Epic single Dear Darlin' holds at 5, while Mercury/Virgin EMI act Taylor Swift's Everything Has Changed with Ed Sheeran races 53-6 affter it was performed on the final of ITV1's Britain's Got Talent.

Black Sabbath have moved further ahead of Beady Eye in their close battle to top the UK albums chart this weekend, although the Liam Gallagher-fronted band should benefit from a performance on Saturday on BBC One's The Voice. Black Sabbath's Vertigo/Virgin EMI album 13, the band's first with Ozzy Osbourne since 1978, had a 32% sales lead up to the end of Thursday over Beady Eye's Columbia album Be, compared to being 23% in front at the end of the previous day.

Rod Stewart's Capitol/Decca album Time has moved back up 4-3 with sales lifting 11% on the week, while Warp act Boards Of Canada are new at 4 at this stage of the week with Tomorrow's Harvest as PMR/Island's Disclosure drop 1-5 with Settle.

Following the airing of a BBC One documentary, Agnetha Faltskog's Polydor album A races 43-7 in the latest midweeks with sales rising 652% on the week.

Friday Update posted!

Thanks Liam for the help.

Do we think Mark Owen will drop much more in the final chart? His album has almost disappeared into oblivion on Itunes unfortunately, which is a shame as its a good album.
Mariah now mid 25. On course to remain at 24 on Sunday? (I hope it reaches a new peak instead!)
