January 17, 201411 yr So the Pixie camp have basically got a light-hearted comment bypass. As Jark says, none of us have had a go at you for the opinion that the song is good. This isn't just a thread to talk positively about Pixie and the song, so why you're all moaning at negative comments I have no idea.
January 17, 201411 yr LOL! I don't even think you know what you're talking about sometimes. I don't think anybody is complaining at all with people's opinions regarding the song. I just stated that she gets unnecessary hate(which she does). Everyone is allowed an opinion but I stated some comments always seem to be a bandwagon sort of comment (yourself). I'm not bothered if you dislike the song or if you dislike Pixie. I don't know what statements regarding how "punchable" etc she looks has any sort of relevance to the song. I don't think my paragraph is big enough to make me look incredibly intelligent :(
January 17, 201411 yr I don't think my paragraph is big enough to make me look incredibly intelligent :( :D I don't really understand how the worth of Lee's posts can be questioned when he has continually posted updates about the song, videos, and joined in discussion and speculation about what would / will become of the song, whereas other comments have been "does she have acne?", "stick a fork in it", "she has a punchable face", etc.
January 17, 201411 yr I'm not sure why I would jump on a bandwagon, I'd rather give my own opinion on Pixie and the song. Which is, you know, what everyone is doing. :manson:
January 17, 201411 yr Gl_GRUqDJT8 I didn't think there could be a version worse than the original. I was wrong, so wrong. Radio premiere on Capital breakfast... t1zYfKOf3wQ I'm not sure what to make of it yet. It sounds ok on first listen and will probably grow by the time its released. It isn't awful. It would be so much better if it wasn't such a blatant rip off of the original demo. It's just too try-hard Xtina and not very her making it a bit bleh.
January 17, 201411 yr That's good to hear! For a fair amount of people who have repetitive negative comments and dislike Pixie, they seem to be spending a lot of time talking about her! She must be doing something right!

People in glass houses, eh?
January 17, 201411 yr People in glass houses, eh? I just looked through the last few pages and there seriously hasn't been any 'passive aggressive cattiness' coming from anyone but you. The 'Zzzzzzzzz' comment was so incredibly mature too. I would assume all that is wanted from the Pixie camp is to actually try and put a positive spin on the whole thing. People who said they disliked Nasty pretty much explained why, i.e. it's dated and sounds like Xtina but it works the other way round as well. Maybe some particular questions will provide some reaction idk? Why is recording an old Xtina reject good for her? What does she offer to the world as a popstar? (Doing Xtina covers or will she get onto Kylie in the next era? Or perhaps Britney?) Is she evolving as an artist? If you look at ANY major pop star, they have all been through phases, evolving and growing, some for decades. And now for the 'OMG HATE!!1' part which sums up everything I think about Pixie Lott and is all pretty much constructive criticism... There's really not much substance in her in my opinion. She doesn't look like a pop star and it's unlikely she ever will. I don't have time for people who are there just to make quick $$$ and whose music lack any personality. This song is a cheap (literally) attempt at securing a hit based on the name. No creativity, no thinking, no nothing really. Have you ever seen Kylie or Britney or Madonna release a first single as a song that used to be a reject of another pop star?! f*** that shit, seriously. If you want to listen to something generic slapped together in 3 seconds and even buy it - that's your choice but I ain't got time fo dat! Especially the BUYING part. I don't shop in fourth-hand stores tyvm! Pixie Lott has been doing the same shit singing the same songs for however many years she's been in music now. (Even f***ing Cheryl Cole evolved by her 3rd album!)

A debate sees both sides of an argument not just 'PIXIE SUCKS'
January 17, 201411 yr A debate sees both sides of an argument not just 'PIXIE SUCKS' I have yet to be offered any other side to the 'argument' so alas cannot consider anything?
January 17, 201411 yr My comment about the punchable face was TONGUE IN CHEEK and wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I am not in any form of bandwagon, everything I've posted in here is my honest opinion which is what this thread should be about. Edited January 17, 201411 yr by Chez Walrus
January 17, 201411 yr Personally I find absolutely nothing tongue in cheek about my own desire to punch her.
January 17, 201411 yr I liked her up til now, even though she has always firmly been in basic bitch category I thought she had some decent singles. I even liked Kiss The Stars for comedic value, this is just terrible. I wouldn't say it was bandwagoning, but when something is terrible people will acknowledge it ... the same happened with Its My Party and Shine Ya Light on here too, a bad song is simply a bad song.
January 18, 201411 yr I have yet to be offered any other side to the 'argument' so alas cannot consider anything? Then it's not a debate. My problem is that there's a fine line between criticism (which is fine) and hatred against an artist
January 18, 201411 yr Then it's not a debate. My problem is that there's a fine line between criticism (which is fine) and hatred against an artist Not being funny, Madame la criticisme but what have you offered to discussion? And I certainly don't hate this or anyone else for that matter. Get a grip and bring something to the plate before you poor scorn upon me.
January 18, 201411 yr Came to see what all the fuss was about. What happened to her voice? She sounds like she forgot how to sing. It all sounds so forced, from the ad-libs to her "this-is-so-embarassing" smile. The song is terrible itself. Not memorable at all, limp chorus, poor verses. And then they did whatever they did with her voice. This is so bad she even knows it. And what next? Where does she go from here? If she's being forced by her label to do this and wants out, who's going to sign her? Heidi Range II.
January 18, 201411 yr I definitely think this song is one of those types of songs which clearly tries to be a big pop anthem, but ultimately fails in every way possible. From the cheap, dated sounding production, to her vocals through to her image. It just doesn't feel right and by album three an artist like her/Jessie should have a clear knowledge of who and where they want to be as an artist, I just don't think she's found that, which is the problem. It's why I think the basic R&B bitches (Keri, Ciara, Ashanti et al) are better than the basic pop bitches (Pixie, Jessie, Rita etc..). At least they progress somewhat as an artist and develop their sound.
January 18, 201411 yr Call it irrational hate or whatever you want but it's not irrational when you can explain why you 'hate' (too strong of a word) something (which makes it 'criticism' (BAM!)). She is terrible at , isn't exactly a fantastic vocalist and isn't that interesting and original in terms of personality and material.
