I just went to look, jesus christ they're all like... totally brainless. Comments like 'OMG WE LOVE YOU ERIC <33333333333333' make me want to scream, I'm incredibly close to going 'f*** off Saade loons' but thus far have held myself back!

That doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's the morons asking me to take the video down out of 'respect' for Tone and Eric because it's not out until the 27th that are really making me go :mellow: :manson: :rolleyes: (Roughly in that order).

A lot of hardcore stans are like that, asking people who upload their favourite artist's new music to delete it in "respect" for the musician as it's not officially out or the official video hasn't premiered in the official channel.

I don't get why people just can't enjoy what is out there, pretty sure Tone Damli wouldn't mind it at all....

My thoughts on the new material;

Save Me - Maddji barely features on this, it's more of a tribal style chant in the intro, I take it she's a world music artist? Aside from that it's a really pleasant mid-tempo Tone song with a catchy chorus, nice pop/world hybrid vocally but the production is pure pop. 8.5/10

Summerlove - This was definitely from the same session as Look Back, the production on it is so similar, in fact you could sing Look Back's chorus over this song. That said, the verses have a VERY subtle electro hint (nothing like Imagine though). The chorus is excellent, I adore her pronunciation of the song title 'summer luhv' :wub: The guitars in the closing minute are very Natalie Imbruglia Torn-esque. Phil will love this, Ashton 44? 9/10 (with scope to grow)

Imagine - I don't feel like I can add much more to this that hasn't already been said, it proves that Tone can pull off electro pop effortlessly, it's a mish mash of Atomic Kitten's I Won't Be There and Price Tag musically, but not distractingly so, it's not exactly like either and definitely stands up on its own merits. It's great pop, and another moment for Eric to file next to Popular and Hotter Than Fire. 9.5/10

And as a bonus, here are my ratings for the rest of the album;

Look Back - 9.5/10

Butterflies - 11/10 (life enhancing)

Stuck In My Head - 9.5/10 (Hey, I still remember every word! Effortlessly catchy)

I Know - 9/10

The Bliss Song - 8/10

I Love You - 9.5/10

Crazy Cool - 9/10

Fever - 9/10

Here I Am - 8.5/10

Young & Foolish - 7/10 (which album is this from? bizarre)

No Way Out - 9.5/10 (it doesn't need Corinne, it's amazing regardless)

Ghosts - 8.5/10 (I don't see what's so offensive about this, it's an incredibly pleasant MOR collab, Andreas vocals are really quite subtle for most of the song compared to his usual singing style)

Somewhere Soft To Land - 7.5/10

Amazing! How many best of's can boast new material that's actually worthy of being on there!

Young & Foolish is from Sweet Fever. The same album as Ghosts and Fever. ^_^ Somewhere Soft To Land is from Bliss.

Can't wait for the CD to arrive to hear Save Me and Summerlove!

My God what a delicious slice of pop 'Imagine' in! Glorious. Insanely catchy and it does, genuinely remind me of 'Call Me Maybe'! :lol: (I'd say it was Atomic Kitten's 'I Won't Be There' mixed with 'Call Me Maybe' (as opposed to 'Price Tag' - sorry Rich, I can't see the PT resemblence :heehee:) actually, with a 2012 electro revamp.) GAH. The more I listen to this, the more depressed I get at knowing the UK public will probably never get to hear this.
The good thing about never listening to the first two albums is that more of this album was new to me, I'd never even heard Fever and The Bliss Song and both were far better than I'd anticipated!

I don't quite hear Call Me Maybe in Imagine myself. Although I don't really hear Price Tag either. (Never heard the AK song)

Imma do my damned best to make sure that the UK public does hear it. And as for your youtube comment, my pleasure! ^_^

Both are highlights of their respective albums. I think I can be a little harsh on Sweet Fever and Bliss. They aren't bad, they just aren't anywhere near as good as I Know and Cocool.

Just thought I'd say that I recently read an interview with Tone, and she told her next album is going to be in Norwegian ^_^

Not the most flattering picture of Tone ever, but hooray for it being released as a single! :D
It's on our iTunes as well! :D

I can't stop listening to Looking Back, it's such a gorgeous listen on a Sunday. I never quite realised how much I love I Love You until this past week, it's so anthemic and string laden. It peaked at #27 in my chart, ridiculous. Butterflies, Stuck In My Head, No Way Out and more recently Look Back remain essential, Imagine is becoming essential.

I Love You and I Know are also essentials for me. ILY is just the kind of slushy ballad I adore and I Know is beautifully understated.

I'm such a loon. I have a copy from 7Digital on my laptop and now my iPod Touch has Imagine on it too thanks to UK iTunes!
She's released 11 singles in Norway, 7 of which have charted. All of them top10 though. I've read that she's largely considered just a pretty face and that there was a bit of a negative reaction to the Look Back video. :( Bliss and I Know have been certified Gold in Norway, but I'm pretty sure that Cocool's chart peak was something like 22. :cry:

I'm a bit late with my reply to this, but that's probably fine! :D As a Norwegian who lives here in Norway I can say just a bit more on how she's generally perceived and I wouldn't go as far as to say that people consider her now as just a pretty face. Not largely, even. Of course, there are strong opinions being voiced of her as such, and various television figures make jokes about it, but that's superficial media's expressions mostly. Things are so much better for her at the moment, I would say. Because at the beginning of her career, that's when she was largely considered as just a pretty face. But there are legitimate reasons behind why she's one of few Norwegian pop artists who has managed to survive here as just that; a pop music artist. Many of these has come and gone over the years, mainly because it's proven quite challenging to achieve here in Norway. Every time she's actively been in the media; in the form of written, radio and live TV interviews, part of a program, show etc. she's come across as positive, realistic, hard working, kind and mature - which has been an influential part in developing people's opinion of her from being that 'just a pretty face'-figure to an engaging, decent pop artist. Generally, people doesn't always give her music the attention that it truly deserves, and there are people who dislikes her for being that confident and showing it (bad cultural habit), but from what I see - generally - people seem to like her and her music. So mostly; she definitely has proven herself in a positive fashion and her ongoing career is proof of that.
