I'm quite surprised that Will.i.am will get top 4 with ' Bang Bang ', I wonder if The Wanted continue declining the way they are on iTunes if he could manage a top 3 with 'Bang Bang', although I'm sure Will.i.am will start declining rapidly tomorrow.

I'm very surprised too, especially that it is still gaining at a decent rate! Will and Leah's performance was incredible though, so unique and really stood out amongst the other duets. I think that 'Bang Bang' will get to #3 on iTunes, it just depends how long it can hold up for!

Top 10 Popularity Update (not combining multiple versions)

The number in brackets shows popularity change since the last update. I know the percentages are "real" etc. (we had this conversation when I did this many months ago), it just shows a difference without having to do complicated calculations to work out "real" percentage increases.

I'm quite surprised that The Wanted have continued to under perform, I thought it would be a certain number one as Capital have been playing the song non stop, thankfully Radio1 snubbed 'Walks Like Rihanna' :D

I'm surprised by the wanted too, I know they are only dropping slightly but thought this wouldn't happen till about Tuesday.

Would be very surprised if Icona Pop don't hit number 1 tomorrow. Still hard to predict if they will beat Robin for the official top spot though, although with the radio and advert promotion when they hit number one they may make a break for it

It's not been mentioned but Chase & Status - Lost & Not Found is available to purchase on the new Clubland album.
Keep rising Icon Pop.

If they fall just short of Robin Thicke, they'll wish they stuck to their original release date... :P

I do think that some people will look at tne name Icona Pop and think 'oh yet another fake.'

Grin.

Surely people search iTunes for the artist name, ahead of the song title though - I know that's what *I* do...

About time we had a decent number one! It has been five weeks now. Go on Icona Pop! :D

Of all the recent #1's/contenders, Get Lucky is the only one I really like.

Assuming Robin Thicke does another 105-110k this week, even will.i.am at #4 could be looking at 70k+ which is brilliant! The good thing about this strong top four is that they're all completely different sounding songs - brash girl pop (Icona Pop), boyband fodder (The Wanted), a 1930s vaudeville style retro song (will.i.am) and the soul/funk sound of Blurred Lines. Going further down the list with the garage-esque La La La, the acoustic ballad Let Her Go and the generic R&B/dance of The Other Side and we have a top 7 of completely different sounding songs.
Icona Pop on 87% now. :cheer:

I'd expect them to rise to #1 soon after 4PM today.

The Wanted are still doing better than I thought they would, although obviously never had any chance of being #1 (despite what Lee Wallace tried to tell us ALL last week). :P

I'm going with a top 4 of, sticking my neck out here

1 Robin Thicke (105k to 108k) going for a 5th week

2 Icona Pop (98k) those fakes that have charted are going to hurt the track a bit)

2 will.i.am (90k)

4 Wanted (80k to 85k)

I don't think we see any sales over 120k this week...

Ideally I love to see Icona Pop at #1, but my heart tells me that Robin Thicke still ahead somehow.

Heres my guess -

1) Robin Thicke 110k

2) Icona Pop 105k

3) William 80k

4) The Wanted 78k

Although Icona Pop could well push away when it takes no1 and sell upwards of 130k!

If Icona Pop do get the #1 it will be the first major territory that they've topped the charts in, in fact it's only gone to the top in Israel so far! It's a bit surreal to see a random year old Scandipop song doing so well but Loreen and Agnes getting to #1 on iTunes were more surprising to me, as they hadn't particularly been worldwide smashes beforehand.

I think once Icona Pop hit the top spot, it'll take off. Plus, I haven't seen the advert with the song in it yet this week, so perhaps it will get played later today and boost the song.

I think it'll be:

1. Icona Pop (125k)

2. Robin Thicke (110k)

3. The Wanted (90k)

4. Will.I.Am (85k)

I think the advert may help them a lot this week. I wonder how many people heard the advert in previous weeks and gave the fakes a boost.

I agree on it being a good top 4 though, although it ain't the best from the Wanted

Anyone want to say Icona Pop will miss #1 now? :P

will.i.am back to #3 now please. Listened to the studio version of 'Bang Bang', absolutely loving it. Shelby thingy sounds a bit like Leah anyway so I don't know why people are so desperate for the Leah version to be released :P

So so close!! Very glad that Icona Pop & Charli will prove those people wrong who were saying they were "flopping" yesterday! :kink: Looks like Will has started to stall, but I can see him still taking over the Wanted.
