Good to see Cascada back, there's even a picture of a video still of the Glorious video on the inside sleeve (the only artist picture on the whole of the artwork). AATW clearly supporting Germany's Eurovision flop (and the best song of 2013 so far :D).

 

Amazed that Chase & Status' record company haven't noticed that a single that's not even been released yet is available to cherry pick! An interesting thought about compilations actually, if you cherry pick a song, how much of the royalties go to that artist, and how many to the compilation producers/record company? Or do the latter take all of the proceeds because they've already paid for the rights to the song for to be included on the compilation?

 

I'm not sure about cherry-picking, but with sales of the overall album royalties are divided between everybody involved in each song (which could be well over 100 people altogether lol). Also, if a compilation album has TV adverts, the songs used in the advert get more from royalties.

 

One of Inna's songs, I think it was Deja Vu, was available I think a week early from a Clubland album too, and it never got deleted, and charted top 100 the week before its official release. Also it happened with one of Maverick Sabre's song (I think it was No One) and it also didn't get deleted, and also Still Speedin' by Sway was available early from a Clubland album too (but it was a remix, however it managed to chart top 200 from the sales of the remix before the original version got released).

 

In those cases they never got made album only, but We No Speak Americano cropped up on numerous compilation albums pre-release to be promptly be made album only each time, so they might do the same with this Chase & Status song.

 

They do play some songs every now and then at night. I know Leona's "Collide" hardly got played during the day and was played mainly during the night. Even so, it wasn't played much. :(

 

Yeah, Capital play slightly different music at night. I've heard songs like Adorn by Miguel at night before, but there's much less listeners at that time, so it's not going to help much with sales.

I wonder if John Newman will get close to RT's opening sales. I think it is more likely to equal NB's opening sales instead though. I hope this week's #1 sells over 100k to keep the trend going.
