Honestly Alicia should just give up on this era because it's been dead in the water ever since the disappointing first week album sales. I don't believe 'New Day' is even going to go top 200 and she's doing similarly badly in the US so there's really no point in flogging a dead horse.

The Saturdays "Gentlemen" is being released.

The album campaign started off decently. "Girl On Fire" went top 5 and has sold close to 300k copies and the album has sold over 200k in the UK now. Although the single releases have been confusing/messy to say the least. Alicia got her 10th #1 on Urban AC with "Fire We Make" last week and it's still climbing Urban radio in the US. So, I wouldn't say it's a dead horse (although injured quite a bit).

It's not on Capital's playlist, they could still be playing it now and then however but I've yet to hear it on there.

Capital never play a song "now and then". It's all the time or never. So annoying tbh. Really, if you listen to Capital for a 3 hour period and you don't hear the song, that means they're not playing it (in the day-time at least).

To be honest next week is the only week I'll be okay with Sats discussion because 'Gentleman' is quite decent which is more than can be said for all their other songs. However, I do think it'll debut and peak at #7 'Long Hot Summer' style.

Top 10 Popularity Update (not combining multiple versions)

The number in brackets shows popularity change since the last update. I know the percentages aren't "real" etc. (we had this conversation when I did this many months ago), it just shows a difference without having to do complicated calculations to work out "real" percentage increases.

:left: 01. 100% (0.0%) Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)

:left: 02. 98.6% (+2.6%) Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)

:left: 03. 83.5% (+1.0%) The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna

:left: 04. 79.9% (-0.3%) will.i.am - Bang Bang

:left: 05. 54.0% (-0.4%) Naughty Boy - La La La (feat. Sam Smith)

 06. 49.9% (0.0%) Jason Derulo - The Other Side

 07. 49.5% (-0.5%) Passenger - Let Her Go

:left: 08. 38.6% (-0.2%) Dizzee Rascal - Goin' Crazy (feat. Robbie Williams)

:left: 09. 33.9% (+0.2%) Jessie J - Wild (feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal)

:left: 10. 27.8% (-0.3%) Daft Punk - Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams)

1.4% to go!! :cheer:

Everytime I see you are the last to post in this thread, I hype myself up for Icona Pop being #1 but it's yet to happen.

They do play some songs every now and then at night. I know Leona's "Collide" hardly got played during the day and was played mainly during the night. Even so, it wasn't played much. :(

Jason Derulo is holding up better than I thought!

Mariah Carey "Beautiful" #26. Looks like it might reach a new peak this week, as it tends to climb quite a bit over the week, especially just before the weekend effect hits.

184. Dolly Parton - 9 To 5

What's this aincent song doing back in the top 200?

Chase and Status will get top 10 i reckon.

By the way 'Gentleman' is released next week, not sure if anyone mentioned it.

Eek at Chase & Status being released early from Clubland - seems to be climbing decently so far ( #273). I'm still going to wait until next week to buy it. It will probably be made album only soon anyway.

I can't be outside for 24 hours in a day

You could also keep your computer or phone off for 7 days

The Wanted are on 82.97%

Icona Pop are on 61.35%

Face it Icona Pop are not going to #1 whether they are "the biggest gainers" or not.

You were saying.

Looks like they should overtake in the next hour - and unlike The Wanted they will maintain this lead through the week I would think. Icona Pop will be #1 (despite their ham-fisted campaign - "you can't keep a popular song down").

7 days without a computer? WHAT KIND OF TORTURE

:kink: Eventually it'll happen, I hope!

And by posting that, you probably thought they were #1 again!
