Are we in for a real tough battle for number 1 this week, John Newman and Robin Thicke are switching over and back for number 1, a really close battle like that all week would be great and especially if the sales gap waits really low.

A big fan of both "Lost & Not Found" and "Bounce", but Chase & Status have already made the track a hit; with a 15-09 chart run making it their third T10. Iggy Azalea on the other hand, has been made to hold back this track for weeks in the hope that it'd debut high; so I'd hate for it to miss out on the T10.

Robin Thicke has just performed in the Live Lounge, only a little boost; but better than nothing. He also covered "I Love It", so there could be a little boost for Icona Pop there; it certainly sounded great as a 'sexy ballad'.

03. Icona Pop - I Love It 73.4%

04. Will.i.am - Bang Bang 65.7%

05. Lawson Feat B.o.b - Brokenhearted 65.5%

06. Sebestian Ingrosso feat John Martin - Reload 61.3%

Nope no sign of Placebo.

NEW song???

37. JAY Z - Holy Grail (feat. Justin Timberlake)

NEW song???

2 posts above yours it was already answered, why asking then?

"Without You" was a lame cover? Are you serious? Listen Kylie Minogue better..

Not everyone has the same taste, stop being ignorant!

Sats  28 :kink:

Pink - True Love  38

Ugh, hope it doesn't get top 40 officially.

Sats back at their rightful position! Hope they hold it for weeks + become a long-running no.20s hit!

Those positions lower than the top 1500 were calculated using the positions from genre charts as I explained yesterday.

Get that top 10,000 SMASH Flopney :basil:

10856. Britney Spears - Ooh La La (28 July 2013) (304 on Soundtrack chart)

Oh my god lol!

I didn't realise they had a chart down to 10 000 :P

How many sales is that ... like 10 or something?

LOL, do they really go down that low?

Not officially but as I posted yesterday, I worked out how many songs in the soundtrack chart were in the top 1500 which was 42) and simply multiplied 42 by Britney's soundtrack chart position (304) to give an estimation of where it would be overall! :D

This post by Thermometer below explains what I did if you are interested! :kink:

They don't, I just used the genre charts to work out an approximation. The post below explains it. :D

No, they don't. Ryan explained it a few pages ago

Well, I had some spare time so I thought I'd try and do some maths to work out an approximate overall position for those pre-orders that can only been seen on the genre charts. I know no-one will find this interesting at all, but one day you might just find one of these calculations useful (I know I will! :kink:)

My methodology is as follows (I chose these genres as these are the genre charts that have pre-orders to be released this month):

  • Overall #1500 = Pop #458 = 1 Pop song every 3.28 songs in the Overall chart
  • Overall #1487 = Reggae #32 = 1 Reggae song every 46.88 songs in the Overall chart
  • Overall #1492 = Soundtrack #42 = 1 Soundtrack song every 35.71 songs in the Overall chart
  • Overall #1444 = Singer/Songwriter #47 = 1 Singer/Songwriter song every 31.91 songs in the Overall chart
  • Overall #1496 = Hip-Hop #163 = 1 Hip-Hop song every 9.20 songs in the Overall chart
Then all I did was multiply the numbers in bold by the pre-order's position in the genre chart. Obviously this is most accurate for the songs in the pop chart due to the overall chart being dominated by them, but it still gives me an idea of positions for songs in all 4 genre charts.

Those positions lower than the top 1500 were calculated using the positions from genre charts explained above.

Ugh, hope it doesn't get top 40 officially.
SO YOU'RE MICHAEL!! I've been wondering who this is, whenever I've ventured into this thread, but now it's obvious!
