July 10, 201313 yr Promising adds for Rudimental and Calvin Harris. The playlisting of "Holy Grail" should also give it a better chance of being a longer-lasting hit. Miley making it 4/4 for Disney girls' lead singles - hopeful that Selena Gomez can debut highly next week.
July 10, 201313 yr Wow, they actually playlisted Bubble Butt! :D I saw the video ages ago (which I thought was a bit TOO much ), and I thought it would be funny if it became a hit. I hope they play the 2 Chainz version rather than the original. But I don't get why Major Lazer, and Shy FX for that matter, are on the INMWT list. They've been around for a while and are quite established. Edited July 10, 201313 yr by Eric_Blob
July 10, 201313 yr :o Didn't know Lana was releasing "Summertime Sadness" here! Thought it was a US-only release. Glad to see it playlisted! Definitely not a US only release, it was already a hit last year in the German speaking countries. Im wondering why it is released in the UK so late

July 10, 201313 yr Author I wonder why Selena could never quite get to the A-List, but Demi could? I thought C&GI was more universally appreciated than 'Heart Attack'? (I don't agree the latter is one of my favourite songs of the year so far) Hopefully Miley doesn't stall. ('Made In the USA' to be a surprise smash in the future too please!)
July 10, 201313 yr That's Miley's first ever playlisting isn't it? :o I think that'll follow Demi (and Selena) into the top 3 now. I honestly think most of Lana's album is better than 'Summertime Sadness' to be honest. So dull.

Im wondering why it is released in the UK so late  I suppose with a song called 'Summertime Sadness', there's a limited time frame when it makes sense to release it. If they hadn't decided to release it for Summer 2012, they'd have had to wait... and they couldn't release it in early summer this year because the song from the film would take precedence.

I honestly think most of Lana's album is better than 'Summertime Sadness' to be honest. So dull. I'm sure ' 7 Things ' was playlisted. I don't think Selena will go top 3 next week, I think the competition is too strong. 'Summertime Sadness' is quite dull, but the remix is incredible!
July 10, 201313 yr I swear It's Time was looking like a single earlier, but then they just kind of...gave up? Probably due to Radioactive still doing so well, I think it will have more of a chance of doing well now. It was released a few weeks ago but as you say was still being overshadowed by Radioactive so they deleted it and are trying again

July 11, 201313 yr What happened to Rihanna's Right Now?? Such a great song... Thought it would be as big as 'Where have you been'...
July 11, 201313 yr What happened to Rihanna's Right Now?? Such a great song... Thought it would be as big as 'Where have you been'... Its official release date is this week and it's bombing, so they've taken it off. It's a limp attempt at recreating 'Where Have You Been' and has zero originality, as much as I may enjoy listening to it. I did think a few weeks back it'd go top 15 fleetingly though. July 11, 201313 yr DJ Fresh vs Diplo (ft. Dominique Young Unique) - Earthquake [sara Cox] Tinie Tempah - Trampoline [Nick Grimshaw] Hooray for these songs! :cheer: Earthquake is amazing (obviously, it is DJ Fresh + Diplo after all!).
