You need music education.....

Unfortunately Damien Rice is a man and he isn't attractive so his version of Cannonball won't be to Alex Range's tastes :(

I do like both versions of Cannonball, however I prefer the LM cover :kink:

Afwul # 1 in UK singles chart again and again. :puke2:

Last good UK # 1 is.... "Cannonball" in December 2011.

LOL really? This year has had some of the best numbers ones in a long time

CHVRCHES  116

Come onnnnn Gun, get in that top 40 this week!

Woop! Forgot that "Gun" was out this week - just bought it off of Amazon :D (thus therefore sadly not contributing to its iTunes climb, oops).

Great to see Breach doing well, and woah at Avicii's lead. :o

Need U

Waiting all night

Get Lucky

La la la

Blurred lines

I love it

Love me again

Wake me up

Not sure when I liked so many number ones in a row, very dance orientated

This year has been brilliant for #1s. I've liked Get Up, Thrift Shop, Mirrors, Let's Get Ready to Rhumble, Need U, Waiting All Night, Get Lucky, La La La, Blurred Lines and Love Me Again. So much variety for the first time in years. Drum & bass, R&B, house, hip hop, soul, and whatever La La La is.

R&B/breakbeat/UK garage according to Wikipedia. I think it has a bit of a trip-hop influence to it as well.

Hopefully the dance orientated list of #1s means that Jacques Lu Cont & Alex Metric's "Safe With You" is IN WITH A SHOUT. :D

And some of these dance #1s are first timers hence Duke Dumont, Icona Pop in the British Charts, that would make it 3rd act if that happens.

Yeah, I hear a UK garage vibe in it for sure. I would love a proper UK garage song to be a hit again somehow. Do You Really Like It to re-enter at #1 next week please. :coffee:

Don Diablo ft. Alex Clare & Kelis - Give It All needs to cash in on the comeback of non-pop music and get to #1:

Well Stuart Price (Jacques Lu Cont) has been around for more than a decade, and has already had a Top 10 hit under the pseudonym Les Rythmes Digitales back in 2005. THe others would be first-time visitors to the Top 40 though.

Wow well done Avicii, Selena and Avril! I do not like Jack at all, it's so annoying!

I wonder if the Glee Cast version of Don't Stop Believin' will make an appearance due to the death of Cory Monteith? :(

Looks like it has:

344. Glee Cast - Don't Stop Believin'

Maybe not Number 1, but I agree it should have some success. The pre-order seems to have been taken off iTunes though. :(

I wonder if any Glee covers with Cory Monteith singing will rise back up the chart now due to his death.

Could possibly go top 100 as that is their most well known cover. Is he the one singing the male solo parts? That could help too

I hope it gets released soon. At least if it doesn't do anything I won't get left wondering lol. I heard the song on Choice FM, and I loved it. They seem to play anything Alex Clare features on.

Oh god no! :puke2:

'Flowers' by Sweet Female Attitude would be fully welcomed though, now that's a classic.
