Surprised to see 'True Love' out already, feels as if it kind of came and went rather quickly

Gabrielle Aplin - Home [A]

John Newman - Love Me Again [A]

AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It

Clean Bandit - Dust Clears

Kanye West - Black Skinhead

Shy FX (ft. Liam Bailey) - Soon Come [iNMWT]

So many good songs gone. :( Not many exciting additions for me, although I wasn't aware 'It's Time' was A-Listed last week - glad to see!

Yup, most of those songs you listed are good :(

BIG cheers over here for Paramore and Twenty One Pilots. Hoping the latter can get some success, their album is AMAZING.

None of the new additions are doing anything for me...I heard the Miguel track on capital last week and (controversial comment alert!!) even with Jessie Ware's vocals I was bored after a minute, if Jessie is to get her first top 40 hit I'd rather it be Wildest Dreams getting there, but it might grow on me

Fantastic a list this week with Lana, Ray Foxx and glad to see Fryars on there as well

I'd hoped Gabrielle Aplin could get top 40 (though I wouldn't have bought Home as I got it when it was free on iTunes about a year ago) but it looks like that won't happen now :(

On the plus side, yes for playlisting Kodaline! Maybe Brand New Day could scrape top 40, it's one of my favourites from the album!

No.

Pink was on it with those songs for months on end!

10 weeks isn't even nearly enough for an iconic song like Love Me Again or Blurred Lines for that matter. 15 at least! I'd have kept both on for 5 months personally after how big they've been.

Pink is probably a bad example to compare with, 'Just Give Me A Reason' was her longest playlisted recent hit, but it was only on for 8 weeks. I think 10 weeks is enough for any song, no matter how good it is, otherwise the playlist starts to get stale and the song starts to get REALLY annoying. And anyway, just because they've taken it off the playlist, it doesn't mean they're gonna stop playing it, they'll still play it all the time!

But don't you think that some people will be sick of Love Me Again like you are with JGMAR? I don't understand why you think 10 weeks isn't long enough when you don't stop complaining about radio overplaying Pink and Justin Timberlake!

'Ain't It Fun' getting released? :o That's fantastic! :cheer: One of my favourites on their album and it's easily one which is single-worthy.

For the first time ever they get a post album single choice right, what a revelation!

Really pleased that "Ain't It Fun" is getting released. Really hope "Sex" does better than "The City" for The 1975 as well. I didn't mind "Adorn" when I heard it and I'm sure it'll grow on me.

Great to see "Adorn" added - I'm not that fussed particularly by the Jessie Ware version (shockingly, considering that I'm a huge fan). Though now she's been added to the official remix, it is a CAST IRON guarantee that the song will flop to just outside the Top 40, probably around #44.

Pleased to see that "Sex" and "Supersoaker" were predictably added. Bit shocked that there is no London Grammar nor MKS yet, but I guess it was a little early for them.

Kodaline and The 1975 :cheer: :cheer:

This! I love Sex :kink:

Surprised that Best Song Ever is still only b list, given that it seems to be sticking around

Wouldn't surprised me to see it up to the A List next week, progressing C-B-B-A.

Great to see Kings of Leon, The 1975 and Kodaline all getting support. Eager to see how Miguel does with "Adorn" now, hopefully a T40 hit for both him and Jessie Ware.
Anyone who really thought R1 were snubbing 'Supersoaker' was a bit dumb TBH. They often do wait a week or two with OA/OS releases.

Echoing the general YAY at 'Adorn', I haven't heard the Jessie Ware version though. Wooop for Ellie, Jay-Z and Lana climbing to the A-List and Bastille, Disclosure and Le Youth to the B-List also.

Disappointing that Kanye stalled on the B-List but it's been obvious that was happening for a few weeks now. At least he's got a decent chart run while he had the support, probably gonna start plummeting after this week but 7 weeks top 50 isn't bad!

Hardly dumb lol theres been numerous occassions when OA/OS songs have been put straight on the playlist even as high as the blist on the week they are released and rising up itunes.

After this year i was wondering if Kings of Leon would join alot of other mid noughties bands removed from the radio 1 playlist!
