Horrendous year for Number 1s so far. Let's hope the female superstars can swoop in and take over until December.

I totally agree with you but there are some exceptions of course..

G'won Miley! Delighted. Who would have thought that somebody from Disney who seems to stall at #11 is going to be number one!
'We Can't Stop' extending the monster run of fantastic 2013 #1s. Miley's incredibly try-hard but MikeWiLLMadeIt has produced yet another fantastic song this year - after 'Body Party' and 'Pour It Up' (that was last year but oh well).
That Alienator remix of Burn has been released on the Alienator label according to iTunes and not her actual record label.
Think the Miley Cyrus song is a love/hate song, personally I love it

I think it is Miley that is love/hate rather than the actual song. I bet if Rihanna released it, there'd be less hostility towards it.

You could say that about everything though.

Yeh supporting the Mollysaurus.

OMG SHE DID IIIIIIIIIIT!

NO. 111111111111111111111111111111!

OMG!!!!!!

Best number one of the year. In fact, best SONG of the year :cheer:  In fact, when people look back on this year, they're gonna think Hannah Montana! :cheer: and Robin Thicke ... and Mattella, of course

I need a balloon gif and a crying with emotion gif to express how I'm feeling at how much better music has gotten so much better since that awful first half of the year!

You work at a radio station?

Chrom3 has a 100% UK #1 single record

Only at weekends these days though.

Not any more he doesn't!

Miley #1 :(

Tinie #12

It's like John Newman v. Saturdays repeated!

Miley will be unstoppable with "We Can't Stop" this week..

Yes!

Welp, looks like my 150k+ prediction for WCS has probably come true then

Trampoline  66

Yup, like I said last night when she smashed to no.2 as fast as Avicii to no.1 on a slower sales week, we might even be talking 180k+

So nice to see her finally break her #11 curse. And with a monster sized hit as well. 92% is unreal!

Right!

Worst #1 of the year coming up :manson:

Just hope Ellie Goulding smashes her next week :cheer:

But Mirrors, Impossible and Teenage Kicks have been and gone

I wish we could fast forward into next week... please Ellie release tomorrow.

Lol Ellie isn't getting 150K+ sales a week to beat this ... probably won't even beat it the second week sooo.

This is going to be the worst iTunes thread of the year. Congratulations Great British Public :mansoncheer:
I can't stand Miley Cyrus I find her incredibly irritating and to try hard but I can't deny that We Can't Stop is a really catchy song I sort of don't want to like it but I do .

01 Miley Cyrus We Canet Stop

-_- worst post ever :(

I think We Can't Stop would be better if it wasn't sung by Miley. I just find her voice irritating and unlistenable, same with all the Disney girls, there's just something about them I don't like.

1. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop

2. Avicii - Wake Me Up

3. Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness (Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais) [Cedric Gervais Remix] [Radio Edit]

6. Tinie Tempah - Trampoline (feat. 2 Chainz)

15. Rudimental - Right Here (feat. Foxes)

23. Disclosure - F For You

25. Ellie Goulding - Burn (Alienator Remix)

27. Imagine Dragons - It's Time

83. Ellie Goulding - Burn (11th August)

90. Room 94 - Superstar

Music sure has turned around though - Miley Cyrus for 2 weeks, followed by Lady GaGa, followed by Katy Perry. It's gonna be the best run of no.1s in years.

You haven't even heard two of the three songs yet.

Tinie's rising pleasingly quickly - hope he can at least grab a firm hold on #2!

The John Newman one was even worse to be fair.
