Yeah, why is 'old hag' completely unacceptable but 'fat slag/Geordie slag' are hilarious to you? It's complete double standards based on who's said it.

I never at any point said that Carol was in the right when she said that Charlotte was "just a Geordie slag", nor did I say that Vicky was right when she said she was a "fat slag". But, when Charlotte portrays herself in such a way, it is near impossible for her not to be branded as such because she just is... Her whole behaviour gives off that impression. Difficult to understand why Carol/Vicky wouldn't pick up on that.

Then why can't you accept that for some people Carol's behaviour gives off an impression to them that she is nothing more than an "old bag". Get over it, it is really boring now.

"Old bag" is in no way at all related to the way Carol behaves. "Old bag" is referring to the way that she looks in her natural state, the polar opposite to "Geordie slag" which is related to the way that Charlotte behaves, not what you see by looking at her. Seems quite disgusting that people are insulting the way that Vicky and Carol both look just because they've had a pop at Charlotte.

I've been called an old bag before because of how grumpy i am in the morning

I don't think it's specific to how you look at all and it's more just how you act. It's natural to have a bit of banter between housemates (that's why we watch it after all) but when it's completely uncalled for like Charlotte's "THICK" comments to Vicky or Carol going on and on and on about everyone when she was alone in that secret room it just becomes a chore. And for the record i don't think the "georgie slag" things are fair because she hasn't been a slag in the house or whatever so why bring out the past (although as Rob said she apparently isn't even that bad in real life). It's just a cheap dig. As Davidson implied, it's a FACT that Carol (and at times Vicky) have been miserable throughout the house whereas Charlotte hasn't had sex with multiple people in there so surely there's cause for one of the comments and not the other if they have to be made?

"Old bag" generally means "an ugly woman", I thought... :P

So when they are in the house, they are to forget all prior knowledge they have of each and every one of the people that they are living with, look past that, and just get on like a house on fire (pardon the pun)? It may be a dig or whatever, but it's a perfectly valid statement. It surely can't be in the rules that they cannot make reference at all to how people portray themselves on television, or how they behave that makes them come across a certain way, so why shouldn't Carol be able to pick up on the fact that she (and Vicky, given she also said it) is just a "slag"? Sure, it's not a nice thing to say, but the general assumption that one can come to when presented with the attitude that Charlotte has and the behaviour she demonstrates is that she is... a slag.

Not denying that Carol hasn't been miserable at points throughout the house, but it's hardly comparable to the behaviour that Carol is picking up on in regards to Charlotte, is it? "You're a slag" (for various reasons, and the way that you have behaved - justifiable); "You're an old bag" (for no reason at all apart from occasionally being miserable - not justifiable, when compared to calling somebody a slag).

Not being allowed to eat your own feces isn't in the rules yet I don't see anyone do that. OOPS

Also all these GENERAL ASSUMPTION / ONE CAN COME TO is QUITE a cop out. Just be straight for once (OOPS what a pun *.* ).

AWKWARD

How so? I more or less said that I'm not exactly glorifying what Carol called Charlotte. Doesn't mean I don't agree with her. :kink:

I MORE OR LESS SAID THAT I DON'T THINK SHE EXACTLY SAID ANYTHING BAD BUT I KIND OF THINK I PROBABLY MORE OR LESS SUPPOSEDLY AGREE WITH HER.

Jesus christ on a stick.

I think Biggins hit the nail on the head last night on BOTS, the word "celebrity" means to CELEBRATE someone. What is there to celebrate with Charlotte? :kink: But despite me being no fan of hers, and that I thought Vicky was totally right with her point, Vicky's snide comments when alone were uncalled for. Charlotte was acting ridiculous though IMO.

Lol never heard that one before. I really want old hag out though. Why is it all stars from Corrie are so up themselves :(

I was the one who said 'old bag', and I meant in the way that she's miserable, nasty and moans all the time. It wasn't at all about how she looks...

Wasn't specifically targeting you, because it seems a lot of people have resorted to that "insult" when referring to her, but it seems there's also a bit of confusion with the definition of the term, but I suppose if that's not the way you meant it (re. her looks), then not much I can say. :P

Carol can be funny but she suffers the same problem as Sallie Axl. She seems to think that her negative opinions are worth hearing, when they're really not. If you don't have anything good or even constructive to say then don't say anything at all, imo.

I can see where you're coming from, given that most of the time it is meant to be an insult on her looks! But no, I just use it to mean a miserable old woman and always do. There's no need for anybody to ever make a judgement such as we are on Carol because of her looks, that's one of my pet hates and I'd be the first to call someone up on it if I thought anyone on here was doing that!

DS are fond of that though, but then at least they never need any reason to dislike anyone...

At least Charlotte realises she's "just a commoner"; and the type of person who isn't really a celebrity and doesn't have any real reason to be there. Neither does Mario, to be fair, or any past contestant from TOWIE or Geordie Shore, because they're not even famous (I mean, will any of the older audience even know what she and Mario are supposedly famous for?), and if they are it's just for faking their day-to-day lives in front of a camera.
I think Louie might actually be my favourite in there now. I never expected to like him so much when he entered but he's been really great in the past week.

Louie putting Danielle in her place LOVE. She's really trying everything to be this token bitch character but can't pull it off in the slightest.

He's massively (re)growing on me too now after dipping slightly during his miserable days.

God, this task is disgusting. Absolutely hate Sophie after all of those comments she just made to Danielle, and Louie didn't come across well at all either. Both of them just laying into Danielle for doing what she was asked to do as part of the task, just like Sophie was, was horrid, especially the comments Sophie kept making under her breath to Louie about Danielle. She really is a hideous woman hiding behind a glamorous figure with a fake vulnerability. Love Danielle a hell of a lot more after that. <3

How can you go from really loving someone to absolutely hating them just because of a 15 minute edited sequence?
