RIRI RUMOR: Social media is buzzing bigtime this morning with the news that Rihanna could be dropping her next album R8 on 2/8—which just happens to be Grammy night. The chatter was spurred by eagle-eye fans noticing an HFA pub registration of a brand new track titled "All Night" with Robin Fenty as writer with Florence +the Machine and produced by Paul Epworth. This could indicate a collaboration or a sample of the F+TM track "Only If for a Night," from the band's 2012 album Ceremonials. Is this her first album under the new Roc Nation deal? There is no harm in her doing different stuff. She cant be making music like "Rudeboy are you big enough", there needs to be some maturity someday.

There was an article in the sun today which says that Rihanna is close to having finalised a deal to perform at the BRITS later this month. In it they stated that Kanye and Paul will unlikely be part of the performance or even be able to make it. Could this mean a NEW song?!?!?! Rihanna has always had a good relationship with the BPI having won twice and performed at the BRITS countless times i think an exclusive performance of a new single or a pre-order IG could work well now have her perform it and then put it on iTunes straight after could be a stroke of GENIUS!

I'd rather that she didn't perform at the BRITs. They're supposed to be about honouring the artists and hits of the past year, plus she's already performed countless times so when she undoubtedly performs following her nomination next year, it'll be much more deserving for me.

Yeah also it is not stopping Madonna this year from performing. I'd happily welcome Rihanna back to the UK scene through an incredible BRITS performance.

I'm not saying they never do, I can name Beyoncé in 2014 and U2 in 2009 too but that's not the point... If there are multiple performers on the same night that haven't released anything in the eligibility period, it becomes more like the Grammy's/confusing for the audience when these artists aren't nominated.

Come on now, she released 7 albums is 8 years and now nothing for more than 2 years.

The break was needed. Each era was becoming less successful single wise for post album because of her saturating the charts. A good break means people will be more thirsty for her songs.
