The difference is "Take Me Home" had one... maybe two songs that sounded Ed Sheeran esque, the rest was their sound. This album is kindah... all over the place sonically.

Yep, all over the place is the best word for this, I agree with you.

The AMA performance was really good. Actually a repeat of the one on the X Factor but the vocals were great and the emotion was on point.

I really love "Story of my life"

Just watched the X factor performance it looks to me like pre recorded vocals NOT LIVE the same way Cheryl Cole used to do

It was live, I'm absolutely sure. They'd recorded the performance earlier in the week due to other commitments but I'm sure those vocals were live.

I don't see why they would do pre-recorded vocals, it's not like the song is vocally demanding, except for Harry maybe but well no, I wouldn't see the point.

Billboard and LA Times critics have given the album near rave reviews with LA Times calling it the most convincing Rock album of the year! :o

I saw that LA times review and I find it ridiculous they said that when they clearly mention which songs sound like other artists songs.

The album itself as a whole is not bad, but it is a off putting that all the songs do sound like some other bands.

By the way, the moment I heard You and I, it reminded me of Heaven by Bryan Adams, I'm glad someone else heard that :)

Must say though, Little Black Dress has to be their worst track.

I know. It's cause I erased Gotta Be You from my memory. Bloody crap http://imageshack.us/a/img703/3029/9ksp.jpg (by their standards)

Midnight Memories looks like it's the third single..

Can't help but feel Happily / Don't Forget Where You Belong might have been more suited!

Ooh Midnight Memories is a good choice if true IMO. Diana seemed like a good bet but eh, I'm not massive on it. Happily would be AMAZING but it's too far down the tracklist for them lol. DFWYB would also be good but maybe as single #4 (not that they'll do that x) so they're not releasing two kinda similar songs right after each other.
Not a bad choice if true! 'Midnight Memories' has been growing on me A LOT - one of my favourites on the album now! Can see it doing really well.

My two favourite songs on the album right there! I'd love either of them to be a single but for some reason I don't think they will be. Hopefully there will be a 4th single after MM though.

Love all three of those songs. Midnight Memories is a really good choice but I think Happily would have been a better one. That song would smash.

'The Story Of My Life' is still growing on me. Their performance of it on SNL was great I thought! Just youtubed 'Midnight Memories' and sounds like a suitable follow up too! Also just giving 'Happily' a listen too, and that most certainly would be a better choice. I need to check this album out, but all the links were down by the time I could get to them :arrr:
