I'm sure when the 'Roar' pre-order was made available in the UK, it took several hours to appear on the iTunes chart. It'll probably be a similar thing happening with 'Applause' and it'll appear very soon.

It didn't take this long though

People do realize there'll probably be updates in the future?
What has this thread descended into?!   It makes my head spin. *.* Is this some kind of internet purgatory? :manson:
Oh take your head out of your arse.

'Applause' is mediacore at best, a good Bowie-tribute track if that. However people are seriously overestimsting her popularity. Social media does not account for every single music-buyer in this country. Take her UK online fanbase (which is quite small considerably) out of the equation and you'll see what little influence she actually has. I still stand by that 'Applause' will most probably reach #4; if it gets to #1 I'll eat my big toe.

You'll be eating your big toe for quite some time then!!

Applause is anythung but mediocre, the quirky Gaga is lacking in it yes but it is pure pop at its best! <3

Before Gaga, this thread was on course for about 15 pages max this week. Poor overlooked Ellie
Can iTunes please just unfreeze? :( I wanna know if Lady GaGa is #10 or #100 :(

iTunes isn't frozen, 'Applause' is just not showing up on the feed :P

Panic! At The Disco have released 'This Is Gospel' as an instant grat track on their album pre-order in the USA, but for some reason not in the UK where the instant grat track is just 'Miss Jackson'. As such, that's back in the top 100 at #97. Panic! following Arctic Monkeys' ploy to get more singles sales by having an album pre-order count as one.

'Applause' isn't in any other iTunes charts besides the United States, Canada and Mexico (where it is #2 in all 3 charts) according to Kworb as Joseph mentioned earlier so it isn't just an issue with the UK iTunes chart. In my opinion, it is likely to be the high number of sales for the song and because of this iTunes are maybe having to verify the sales are all real in a similar way to YouTube verifies views when it reaches 300 in a very short amount of time.

5. Applause - Lady Gaga

Saw it here first.

Given that hasn't happened with any other song ever, no.

Her percentage is 0.3087 which puts her just at #5, but Kworb is playing silly buggers.

Surely you mean 0.3087 lead over ellie?
