According to Popjustice, Aiden Grimshaw will soon be releasing a new EP to follow his fantastic debut album 'Misty Eye' last year.

 

Today Aiden uploaded a song that, according to Popjustice, will be on this new EP. It is called 'The Way We Are' and Popjustice give further details about the song here:

 

'The Way We Are' was produced was produced by Dimitri Tikovoi, who as you well know has worked with Nicola Roberts and Charli XCX (among others), and is the first song to emerge from his forthcoming new EP.

 

Aiden had this to say about working with Tikovoi: ““Working with Dimitri was a brilliant opportunity which fortunately for me led to writing some awesome music which I’m delighted that people can now hear!””

HE IS SO PRETTY

I liked some of his material on his debut album and "The Way We Are" is alright. Hopefully he'll have some stronger material on the EP.

 

And I agree Umi. I used to loon over him back when he was on X-factor :kink:

This new song is gorgeous! And yeah, I always thought he was an incredibly pretty guy, I'm just not really feeling the beard lol

Misty Eye was fantastic, and that's a great song, so I'm looking forward to the EP. :wub:

I'm not really taken by this new song on first listen which is a shame because I was a huge fan of "Is This Love" and especially "Curtain Call".

Well the audio isn't up to scratch so at least the visuals are <3

Heavily reminiscent of Jamie Woon's 'Night Air' - and therefore, I love it. Much better than his previous material, which I didn't mind at all!

Really liked his debut album and i was delighted to hear he is releasing even more material. His debut didnt sell overly well so i had feared we had heard the last of him.

It has been announced today that the new EP will be called 'Aiden' which is also the name Aiden is going by now rather than his full name. It will be released on 26th November.

 

The lead track from the EP is called 'Satisfy Me' which was co-written by Aiden with Dimitri Tikovoi, who has also worked with Charli XCX, Mikky Ekko, Goldfrapp, The Horrors, Bebe Black and Paloma Faith. It also features rapping from Thaddaeus Tribbett. You can listen to the song below:

Dunno exactly why remove the last name. Also, I almost thought "Aiden (the rock band) is in the Pop forum?". LOL

 

Anyway, good new track. Didn't expect a rap! Maybe that's why he dropped the Grimshaw, it's quite different from his previous stuff.
