I've had a look at #4 peaking albums that only spent a few weeks in the chart recently and I can't find any others that dropped out of the top 40, but I only have this in an easily searchable form since 2007 so far from a complete survey  fchd is your guy for this. They can always claim the decade-to-date kinda-record!!1 Beating (excl. Bublé) the 4-30 slide of John Mayer's 'Born And Raised' last year. Keep an eye out for John Mayer's current album then :P

Drops from the top 5 to outside the top 25 this decade:

1-29 Christina Aguilera - Bionic [2010]

2-33 Joe Bonamassa - Driving Towards The Daylight [2012]

3-28 Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal [2013]

3-28 Pet Shop Boys - Electric [2013]

3-29 Richard Hawley - Standing At The Sky's Edge [2012]

3-30 You Me At Six - Sinners Never Sleep [2011]

4-26 The Darkness - Hot Cakes [2012]

4-26 Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts [2012]

4-27 Enter Shikari - A Flash Flood Of Colour [2012]

4-30 John Mayer - Born And Raised [2012]

4-41+ White Lies - BIG TV [2013]

4-101+ Michael Bublé - Christmas [2012-13]

5-26 Kate Bush - 50 Words For Snow [2011]

5-26 Thirty Seconds To Mars - LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS [2013]

5-29 Jessie Ware - Devotion [2012]

5-29 Meat Loaf - Hell In A Handbasket [2012]

5-30 Michael Jackson - Michael [2010-11]

5-31 Atoms For Peace - Amok [2013]

5-31 Rufus Wainwright - Out Of The Game [2012]

5-32 The National - High Violet [2010]

5-34 Bullet For My Valentine - Fever [2010]

5-41 You Me At Six - Hold Me Down [2010]

5-52 Ren Harvieu - Through The Night [2012]

All bar 'Christmas' and 'Michael' were 2nd week drops ('Michael' went 4-5-30).

Still can't believe that drop for Christina actually happened!

I remember at the time a lot of people were surprised she made number one but when the midweeks were in I think she'd fallen to the low 20's!!

At least White Lies won't fall out the top 100, not this week anyway

Dunno why people seem sure that Loving You will end up #11 on Sunday. Might probably be 1/2 places lower at the rate it's dropping :P

People are just clinging on to false hope that a song like that can actually do well in a less than average chart.
Well they are still 1k ahead of #11 so although likely they will fall it will probably only be to 11 or 12

ahead of 1k, how did you work that out, do you have sales info

Yep, Matt and Mel have sold 17,765 so far, they are 1k ahead of Robin. They were 3.4k ahead of him on Tues in the 1st midweek at #9 (also ahead of Gaga but her video dropped and she sailed passed).

Source?

Not at all surprised to see Stereophonics back in the top 10, radio 2 have been promoting them like there's no tomorrow.

Richard & Adam getting a fourth week at #1 is actually going to happen, isn't it? *.*

Great to see Klangkarussell still at #2, it'll probably fall to #3 on Sunday. Hopefully DJ Fresh can stay top 5 too and new peaks for Le Youth and Drake would be muchly appreciated.

Considering Mel's last 4 singles missed the Top 90 and Matt' last 3 missed the Top 80 then the fact they are on course to make the Top 15 makes this a smash for them tbh!

I know and I still can't believe it! It's such an achievement for them but with it having already been top 10 on iTunes/in the midweeks, it's slightly annoying for them to miss out!

Top 15 for Mel and Matt would be great ive accepted it wont go top 10 now but top 15 is great for both based on the performance of the more recent chart placings.

Not on albums I'm not, I don't keep any album chart details, I'm not remotely interested in the album chart I'm afraid.

I'm still looking specifically for a No 4 album that dropped out of the top 40 directly however I've found a 3-50 faller from March 1990- Iron Maiden Run to the hills/ The Number of the beast. I think these were actually 12" inch singles which were bunched together and exceeded the time limit for the singles chart so were put into the album charts instead. I'll search the 80s later.
