So, On A Night Like This only manages to get to 3rd, meaning that Love At First Sight and The One are battling it out for the top spot, but which will win? For me, this is definitely one of her strongest singles of the 00's and 10's, and has a video that you can just go back and watch over and over again - and it's really one of her sexiest. Kylie at that poolside. :kink: This managed to pick up a lot of 10's, and did get three 11's, its lowest score being a 5. Notable mention to the Abbey Road recording of this, which is absolutely beautiful too, and the Showgirl tour performance is divine.

Love At First Sight being so high is very surprisng to me, a pretty good song though. HAS to be The One to win though, absolutely one of her best.
I thought 'On a Night Like This' would have won this to be honest! :o It was awarded lots and lots of 10s/11s so it must have been that low score of 5 (?!?!?!!) which brought it down. I'm backing 'The One' to win as well, but 'Love at First Sight' is just as deserving; great video, always loved those K earrings!

Love At First Sight doesn't quite manage to steal the win for the 00's and 10's rate, but the one that is able to is The One - a single from X! The One doesn't really seem like a winner to me. It's a good song and all, but it just doesn't have the same appeal that the singles from Light Years and Fever did, so strong commiserations to Love At First Sight, which, might I add, has an absolutely STUNNING Abbey Road version! Love At First Sight did manage to pick up eight 10's and only one 11, while The One, your eventual winner, got nine 10's and one 11, but with no score below 6, and it did only get two of those. Satisfying winner?

And also, seeing as we have now approached the end of the rate altogether: massive thanks to everybody for even submitting any rates, and thanks for commenting in-between the results, and it's been really good to host something like this! ^_^

Now to wait for album 12!

What a brilliant winner, definitely the best record on X. :wub: A great Top 6 in fact, would have been a better Top 10 all round if 'Timebomb', 'Your Disco Needs You', 'In My Arms' and 'Flower' were there for me. I forgot to mention before, but the Abbey Road version of 'On a Night Like This' is pretty much perfect, perhaps on par with the original.

I agree and most of the time it didn't sound great on tour except on Aphrodite which she did mash-up with Can't beat the feeling.

 

It's been a weird rating, especially for a lot of singles which deserve higher places. Thanks for putting it altogether.

LOL @ 'Slow' and 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' not being Top 3. very happy with the top 2 though, and 'In Your Eyes' being satisfyingly high.

Y'all have gone back to your absolutely, horrendously SHIT ways of rating! :drama: The absolutely AMAZING Your Disco Needs You only manages to reach #14, despite having received three 11's, and a few 10's. It did however get a few low scores including more than one 0. I shall now go back (to torment and punish those who scored it lowly) to talking about the Showgirl tour, and how stunning the performance of this was then. She really needs to make that a regular performed song on tours (although she did on X2008 too, so no real worry yet).

 

It's a bloody shocking song, how you can defend it is beyond me! Robbie Williams has a go at songwriting... forget it Robbie.. FORGET IT!!! Defo got a zero from me.

It wasn't meant to be, Liamk... :snif: This absolutely fantastic single of Kylie's doesn't quite manage to make the top 3, but did however pick up a lot of 10's, and di get one 11. It didn't get a score below 6 either, which is quite good considering some of the other singles in the top 10 have been knocked by low scores or -1's.

 

Mine was the one 11, perfect song yet to be beaten by her imo. Wasn't expecting it this high but glad it was!

Very good Top 3 also, The One is an amazing song, really should have been a huge hit!
I dont think On A Night Like This was robbed, it is a great Kylie single, i understand many of her hardcore fans adore it but i sometimes feel it is over- rated. It is a cover version at the end of the day and outside Australia it didnt sell in any great amounts and had a poor UK chart run. I know the charts dont define what is good and what is not but i feel outside her fan-base if a random person was asked to name a Kylie song On A Night Like This would not get many mentions.
TBH, not many people would know/care that OANLT is a cover, much like with Torn by Natalie Imbruglia :lol: I don't get how that means it shouldn't be classed as one of her best singles, its not like she writes most of them.
I think even less people would mention 'The One' if asked to name a Kylie song, plus that sold even worse than 'On a Night Like This' but that's still a worthy winner/

Well, y'know your personal dislike of it is one thing, but it's a pretty well beloved single in her back catologue. I have NEVER experienced a reaction at any of the many concerts I have been to like I did at X2008 when she performed it.
