Yeah. Pretty much every music genre apart from pop is making a comeback this year.

It might stay top 10, since Eminem's song is getting released next week, isn't it? Also Jason Derulo's new song I think. I hope one of them gets #1, but seeing Katy's lead on iTunes she might get a second week.

And nice to see Baby I in the top 100.

Katy will probably get 3/4 weeks at the top IMO.

I think Jason Derulo will be one of those recoreds that gets to number 1 eventually, but not in the first few weeks.

Have we had a record like that this year so far??

Yay for Tom Odell cracking the top 100, really hope it can scrape the top 40 at least, such a fantastic song. :(

Jason is almost certainly going to peak first-week, since it's been held-back. It will have a chart run like In My Head or The Other Side rather than one like Ridin' Solo. I could see it having a shorter run than those, since it's not going to get good airplay in the future, but it should at least get good first-week sales.

We had Thrift Shop earlier this year which sounds very similar to Talk Dirty.

Just took a listen to that YM@6 song. It's good. I can see why it's doing better than they usually do though. Their fanbase has been growing with each passing release and this is probably their most radio-friendly song yet (in the same way that 'Up In the Air' is 30 Secs & 'Still Into You' is Paramores most commercial single yet)

Which explains why 'Up In The Air' did so well... :P Didn't even go top 10 on iTunes and missed the top 40!

I did have a feeling YMAS might have got top 10 on iTunes but never thought they'd get as high as #3 / probably #2 soon :o Looks like a safe bet for their first top 20 hit then and quite possibly their first top 10, though it might just miss out like 'Do I Wanna Know?' did in similar circumstances.

 44. A Love Like War (feat. Vic Fuentes) - All Time Low

I see them going stright for the dirty tactic of doubling their sales by releasing both as a single and as an album pre-order track  Don't think this will be a first top 40 for them though unless it holds up much better than expected.

 98. Loved Me Back to Life - Céline Dion

This is not someone I was particularly desperate to see back in the charts.

#108 - Demi Lovato - Made In The USA

Heard this on Capital at about 5:45 last night. Hopefully they'll start playing it regularly and it can enter the Top 100, love it.

 02. You Me At Six "Lived a Lie"

Woah. Good on them though, great band.

YYYEEEHHH!

Next target number 1!!

92. Céline Dion - Loved Me Back to Life

I don't want to be a loon but i'm so exciting that Celine has a new song..She is one of the most successful singers without scandals, bad acting and being provocative. A very rare phenomenon for a pop artist. If the charts needed someone desperately, it would be Celine for me..

'Chasing Cars' is back up to 99p and back down to #57. Probably still likely to pass the million or at least get very close this week but hopefully will be back out of the top 100 next week yay. ('A Thousand Miles' has also been put back to 99p but most of the other 59p tracks are still 59p - including 'Gold Digger' which is at #23 now, should hopefully get top 30 this week! 'Lose Yourself' at #36 still, hopefully top 40 this week).

My goodness! :o Someone who's not me posting about Krept & Konan! Never thought I'd see the day.

I think bluenose meant have we had a record that gradually climbed to Number 1 so far this year? As far as I know, Thrift Shop and Mirrors are the only two releases this year which climbed to #1. Every #1 since Mirrors (in March) entered the chart at #1 (except Get Lucky but that was released midweek and would clearly have been #1 if released on a Sunday). Who knows what the next song to gradually climb to #1 will be?

LA DION coming for that #1, watch out Katy *.*
Celine needs to get a Top 40 at least, amazing song!

Ah, I see. There's not been many post-album singles going to #1 recently, whilst it was fairly common during 2009-2012.
