September 7, 201311 yr Lots of great auditions, my favourites being Melanie and Abi! Abi was incredible and I really hope she and Melanie both reach the live shows!
September 7, 201311 yr I don't know why they put her through to the next round, when obviously she won't pass the next hurdle.
September 7, 201311 yr My favourite was probably Abi, WHAT EVEN at the bad acts this week though, dreadful.
September 7, 201311 yr Wonder on Xtra Factor *.* OK WE GET IT. The old lady on Xtra Factor omg. I actually can't.
September 7, 201311 yr I think they're not really being fair to that old lady on Xtra Factor, I know it was all a bit 'lol aww she's sweet' but she's going to be daunted in front of 4000 people and if they let her through she'll have to travel to London and do bootcamp only to DEFINITELY be culled. Omg and this woman singing I Don't Know How To Love Him  Tina Cohen-Chang could never.
September 7, 201311 yr I bet this year, they will shove Melanie and Jade in a girl group if they don't get through solo, so that they will stop coming back :( I want the 2 of them through to the live shows so badly!
September 7, 201311 yr I bet this year, they will shove Melanie and Jade in a girl group if they don't get through solo, so that they will stop coming back :( I want the 2 of them through to the live shows so badly! Thankfully they really aren't the sort who can be shoved into girlgroups! Really can't see them getting through though, far too many great acts who are more individual than them or fill their 'gap' slightly better.
September 7, 201311 yr Katie Weasel's tweets OMG Christ this is the third Emeli Sande song we've heard tonight! I keep having flashbacks to the Olympics #XFactor4 of tonight's contestants have been on the #XFactor in previous years and yet still no sign of Gamu, what's going on?? I wonder if Matt Cardle is also allowed to enter again? #XFactor I loved the 'Diamonds' and 'Don't You Worry Child' girls  The cat man tho
September 7, 201311 yr dz2x7P1q2cY There is a video of Melanie McCabe from Tomorrow's show of her at arena audition! I think she could actually go all the way this year cause from that video sounds amazing!
September 7, 201311 yr Omg Barclay was the second time in two weeks that I completely swooned when a young male played their trump card :( They are nice additions to their performances though (his and Alejandro's) but it does feel very The Voice... The girl that sang "Don't You Worry Child" and Melanie were my two overall favourites tonight though. Oh and I actually felt sickened by how the judges treated the old lady at the start of The Xtra Factor. So cruel. Edited September 7, 201311 yr by THEO.
September 8, 201311 yr This show is hitting all kinds of bizarre buttons tonight. Singing to a cat? Man, someone needs to control the mental hospital. :/ So all people who like cats should go to the loony bin? Not being funny but it's a :manson: moment. Never expected you to be this judgemental. September 8, 201311 yr He was singing to a photograph of a cat, if that isn't bizarre behaviour, then I'm not really sure what is.
September 8, 201311 yr Was he though? He placed it a bit too far from himself and barely even looked at it during his 'performance'. Even if he WAS, SO WHAT! He doesn't claim his cat talks to / answers him, which would in fact be very weird.
September 8, 201311 yr There is nothing wrong with liking cats, but bringing a photograph of it to show on X Factor is just a little odd. I don't understand why you are getting worked up about it?
September 8, 201311 yr :/ So all people who like cats should go to the loony bin? Not being funny but it's a :manson: moment. Never expected you to be this judgemental. Oh I didn't mean anything like that Pav. Sorry. :( You know I love cats. I was more going for 'why on earth would anyone audition for X Factor and then sing to a cat as part of an audition'. Not that X Factor is a bastion of being taken seriously and it was clearly a producer thing but clearly he had no intention of going any further the minute he brought that up.
September 8, 201311 yr You can tell last night wasn't very eventful when we're having a debate about whether bringing a photograph of your cat to show on The X Factor was normal or not. (ftr I don't think it's the most abnormal thing he could have done)
September 8, 201311 yr I think he explained why he brought the picture (it was the one thing that comforted him and calmed him down or whatever, which is quite logical). I'm getting a bit worked up about it because such people always get laughed at in this show because of their quirks and/or issues which most people consider bizarre or weird and cannot understand. It's quite shit that X Factor producers exploit people like that but what can you do, if it makes ratings go up then WHY NOT. Obviously many will go all 'oh they came to audition on X Factor so they know what to expect' but the way they portray some is just ridiculously rude.
September 8, 201311 yr I'm not really sure what we're supposed to do then. We can't be responsible for the show's insensitivity (which is awful I agree). Perhaps I was a bit harsh with my mental comment but if we can't laugh at these guys then the show just becomes awkward to watch at those points.
