Riptide, really?! If I thought I could get away with it I'd have easily entered that myself... Lol at Girls Generation again and I'd call Adelen cheap but this is Lee here :smoke:

Sara Bareilles - Gonna Get Over You

I agree that Adelen is quite an uninspired entry, I had nothing to send this month after Ryan confirmed ' Some Of Us ' before me. I think the main point for me is to confirm a song that I adore and ' Baila Conmigo ' is easily one of my favourite songs at the moment.

Sent my semi 1 votes. Semi 2 votes will be coming tomorrow (Sunday).

I'm starting to give up on ever sending votes that don't look like blatant bloc voting. Chris and Leww are back on form this month so it's gonna be EVEN WORSE THAN LAST TIME. Can the countries I vote for all the time send worse songs please.

Zech bringing the diversity with something Wikipedia very aptly describes as 'apocalyptic folk/neoclassical'. Could only be 1 country!

Thx, I take that as a compliment. :D

It's taken me this many years to realise how similar Texas' In Our Lifetime sounds to TLC's Creep, I wonder if the former actually sampled the latter?

it did!! i listened to 'creep' ages ago and asked ben if there was a song that sounded familiar cos i was bugging me and he found it out for me !

I think it's inspired by Creep, having listened to both quite a lot I don't think there are any particular elements that are directly used in In Our Lifetime tbh!

Adelen is probably more inspired than Sara Bareilles :heehee:

There's no probably about it!

Can I please amend the verison for mine? There is now a radio edit:

Is that ok David?

They DESERVE to after how bad their luck has been in the last year. 'Then The Heartbreak' could be a really great song but sadly when I listened to it I just felt like I was waiting for a chorus which never happened :(
Voted. Semi 2 isn't as good as Semi 1, which has six REALLY good songs, compared to maybe three in Semi 2.

Done, although it's still the full version in the mp3 packs; I can send out an individual d/l link if you'd like me to?

I did think that myself for the first chorus, but I think it works once you get used to it.

Well, if it isn't too much trouble? (seems I will DNQ either way though )

Thank you!

:hi: :kink:

How do you rank a song you've listened to like 35 times already before the contest alongside every other entry that you've only just heard for the first time? :drama:

Now voted in semi 2. I have NINETEEN songs rated 9/10+ across both semis. Unless a ton of them DNQ my final votes are going to be a bloodbath. (Although actually my 10 faves are kinda clear cut at the moment, 6 songs on 9.5+ in semi 1 and 4 on 9.5+ in semi 2 - but it'd feel bad to have to snub so many 9/10s). Semi 2 had slightly more 9/10s than semi 1 but it also had six songs that would have come dead last in my ranking of semi 1 so would say semi 1 was stronger on the whole (especially with that top 6).

I hope Pavel can cope with what I've given him xox

There's only one or two songs that I can see winning in semi-one.
Hmm, a better semi overall than last month but only one 10/10, though there was also a hallowed 0/10 on the Johnkm scale *.*
