This is pretty much my favourite TV show going.

You LEARN so much through it and there's no better feeling than getting a pointless answer *.*

Richard Osman and Alexander Armstrong's banter is increasingly stilted though.

Any other fans? People would do so well here in the music chart rounds. Words and geography are my personal favourites.

Also, want to apply to go on this but alas, can't find anybody to come with me :(
Yes, it's a fantastic show despite not watching for a few months. Definitely one of if not the best Quiz show around tbh.

It's PAINFUL. Those awkward silences make my skin crawl. I can skip through an episode in ~5 mins if i prerecord it. Saying all that it has me gripped most days without fail just for the stats *.*

Slightly prefer ITV gameshows though (Goldenballs being the all-time great of course)

I was ever so proud of myself getting the river Nile as a pointless answer in round three yesterday *.*
Geography (esp. Capital Cities *.*) is my specialty on Pointless along with the Pop Music and occaisionally the word rounds (ending in 'END' for example) or the literature rounds if I've read the stuff. My absolute NIGHTMARE is the Film rounds though. Given I see about 3 films a year at best. 90% of the time I'm just like 'I don't even know who this person IS, let alone what films they've been in'.
Oh it's absolutely wonderful. I've wacthed it regularly for over 2 years now. Hardly ever miss an episode, was pleased they showed repeats throughout the summer whilst the weather was nice.

Without googling it, what is the capital of Suriname? :D (CLASSIC POINTLESS MOMENT).

I am a massive fan of Pointless, I don't know what I'd do if they ever took it off the air - been watching it since '09 when it was on BBC2. :o Richard Osman is brilliant, he is also the brother of Mat Osman (the bassist in Suede) which makes him even more brilliant.

Geography and Music are my favourite rounds!

Recently I haven't watched it as regularly as I did about a year ago, but still catch it every once in a while. It's really entertaining and there are some good questions. Love both Alexander and Richard too. I can't decide if I prefer Pointless or The Weakest Link though, it's a really tough choice :P

Paramaribo

An old Pointless favourite, much like CAR, Rutherfordium and Spencer Perceval

BOOOM!

Oh yes, Spencer Perceval - the only Prime Minister of GB&NI to have been assassinated, murdered by John Bellingham indeed back in 1812.

Don't forget the classic Central African Republic.

I too love the Geography rounds, history rounds are also good for me. I find it very educational and watch it regularly.

I absolutely love this programme! My housemates and I watched it all the time and had it on series record. SO GOOD.

I will go on with you Jake!

I was going to go on with my friend once but we both chickened out.

Oooh I caught part of this one evening when I visited LDN and there was a Heath Ledger movies round. They didn't get the pointless answer :(

Didn't spot that, oops. Thought it meant an automobile round of some kind that I missed.

Anyone remember that breed of dogs round that went so well nearly everyone got a wrong answer?

Anyway, I don't really wish to go on the show as a contestant (if films turn up as a round it will not be a good experience and I hate the limelight anyway). I am hoping my dad and I might get to be in the audience one day.

There was a film round shown during the summer repeats where everyone going first in round 1 scored 100. Followed by 2 more for the people that went second.

LOLZ

I think I'd love to go on but I know there's at least a 50% chance I'd make an absolute tit of myself on it! If I could guarantee the rounds would go something like politics, world geography, football and music I'd be there.

You can be as intelligent as anything but getting to the final really depends on the luck of the draws. Golf and film would be a disaster for me for example...
