Posted September 24, 201311 yr I'm a big fan of Kylie Minogue and she has brought out some fantastic singles, but I couldn't help but wonder that she also has some fantastic album tracks Enjoy Yourself (Enjoy Yourself) Okay the "Enjoy Yourself" album didn't no help but I think the campaign would have been better if she brought out Tears On My Pillow/Enjoy Yourself as a double a-side then the whole album would have ended with a bang and "EY" could have been a great build up towards "Better The Devil You Know" Right Here, Right Now (Let's Get To It) This track would have a much stronger lead single than "Word Is Out" and could have continued her streak of Top 10 hits, which ended with "Word Is Out". I Guess I Like It Like That (Let's Get To It) Again another club banger that could have easily been released as the 2nd or even final single from the album. If I Was Your Lover (Kylie Minogue) This track would have made a better choice than the dire and forgettable "Where Is The Feeling", Tears (Impossible Princess) Again another lost track which wound up on special edition release of the album only, this could have been a great single. So Now Goodbye (Light Years) Light Years was a fantastic album that really could have benefited from more single releases, and this along with several tracks on the album, a really catchy number that could have stormed the charts. Your Disco Needs You (UK Release) I reckon if this released this track as a double A-side with Please Stay for the X-Mas market, then it would have made the fans happy and be a true contender for the X-Mas Disco Down & Under The Influence Of Love Not as a double A-side but as stand alone singles, both are personal faves of mine. Fever This should have been the 4th single release from "Fever" album, and imagine the remixes that would have been commisoned for this track and a sexy music video set in a futureristic hospital would have been fantastic. Love Affair I reckon "Fever" era could have easily pushed out another single, and this should have been it, and another smash hit for her. I'm Just Here For The Music Okay I know this didn't make the Body Language album, but it was recorded during that time and it should have and could have been the follow up to "Slow", a much better choice than "Red Blooded Woman", why this didn't make the album I don't know. Secret (Take Me Home) This would have been a much better choice than Chocolate, or at least make a 4th single. Made Of Glass I know this was only a b-side to "Giving You Up" but this was by far the better track and would have been a much bigger hit. White Diamond (Uptemp) For a start why this didn't make the X album I don't know, and secondly this had the potential to be a massive hit as the lead single instead of the dull "2 Hearts". Speakphone Another highlight on the X album and another contender for the lead single. Aphrodite This track had single written all over it, and would have made a better 3rd single than "Better Than Today" which was a good album track but wasn't single material though, and plus Aphrodite could have had a killer video for it. Cupid Boy & Looking For An Angel Both would have been strong contenders for single releases. Finer Feelings & Never Too Late (Abbey Road Sessions) These two tracks were beautifully redone and should have been given more chances to shine So these are my opinions and please post your opinions. September 25, 201311 yr 'Your Disco Needs You' is certainly the biggest missed opportunity from Kylie's career! They said it was too camp for the UK yet 'I Believe in You' isn't too dissimilar yet became a hit for Kylie. I agree with 'Aphrodite' or 'Cupid Boy' replacing 'Better Than Today' - the latter definitely grew on me lots due to it being released but those two tracks are much better. I'm sure a lot of people will say 'Like a Drug' from X. I'd have quite liked 'Cherry Bomb' to have been included on that album and released as a single too.
September 25, 201311 yr I definitely agree with the idea of 'So Now Goodbye' being a single, such a great track! Absolutely love live performances of that (not that she does them that often :(). I would have had 'Stars' as a single from 'X', because that is just stunning. Don't know how it would have performed in the charts, though? The fact that it's not a single just means that it's the biggest treasure on the album, though. <3 On the 'Fever' front, I prefer that as an album track because would it have performed well at all in the charts were it released? That said, the performance on the Fever2002 tour is a good example of promo performances she could have supported it with.
September 25, 201311 yr Dangerous game - such a beautiful ballad and showing a real maturity to her voice. Fragile - love this uptempo track from fever. Like a drug - missed opportunity from an otherwise very inconsistent album. Closer - this little gem should have been a single from Aphrodite .
September 25, 201311 yr Speakerphone is awful and would never have been a successful single. It's just very dull.

Oh I agree about Like A Drug there, I could have seen that doing very well. Suppose this is as good a thread as any to list what your personal single campaigns for each album would have been... For 'X' I would have had: 01 | Speakerphone 02 | In My Arms -- Album Release -- 03 | Like A Drug 04 | Stars

For 'X' I would have had: 01 | Speakerphone 02 | In My Arms -- Album Release -- 03 | Like A Drug 04 | Stars X is the hardest for me to do since there was many tracks that didn't make the final tracking list that I'd much rather see on the album and perhaps released as singles. Plus I personally was happy with the singles that were released but I know that many weren't happy, especially in regards to '2 Hearts'. I suppose 'Like a Drug' and 'The One' would definitely need to be chosen.

Yeah there are a few gems that didn't make the album that should have been on there instead of some of the drivel that is ('Nu-di-ty' immediately springs to mind). '2 Hearts' isn't really a proper representation of the album itself, so I personally wouldn't have had that as a single, never mind the lead. :(
