Posted September 27, 201311 yr When will it be - and which will it be (two obvious choices, of course). :P It's usually some time in early October when the first one appears.
September 27, 201311 yr I voted Fairytale and week commencing 13th October as that was the time I saw it appear last year.
September 27, 201311 yr It should easily be The Pogues but I've gone for 27th October just because I don't see it charting any earlier but who knows
September 27, 201311 yr Author I've gone for 13/10, Mariah - if only because AFTONY usually gets split between two versions.
September 27, 201311 yr Mariah almost always starts out ahead even counting The Pogues' multiple versions. They then overtake after a few weeks and usually sell more overall across the season (I believe). So gone for the same as vidcapper.
September 27, 201311 yr Slightly off-topic but the Now Christmas album is having a slight revamp this year and for the first time ever it will feature 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' by Mariah Carey. Past versions of the album have featured versions of the song by Samantha Mumba and Lady Antebellum. The album is due for release on November 18 which is two weeks later than it normally appears each time it is revamped.
October 4, 201311 yr Author Congratulations to anyone who picked Mariah-AIWFCIY for this week - she appeared at #1456 yesterday, moving up to #1231 as of a few minutes ago. :)

Has it now got all the biggest xmas favourites? Its a strange time to release it as most people download the album around the week after halloween!!
October 4, 201311 yr Author No sign of the Pogues yet, but I doubt they can be that far off the T1500... :)
October 4, 201311 yr Author Crazy having Xmas songs inside the top 1500 this early in the year. They're in there in early January - can't get earlier than that!

October 4, 201311 yr Damn, I thought it would have been Cheeky Girls' 'Have A Cheeky Christmas'. Alex Range would've been happy. :P
