Not expecting their top version to be that high yet, most of the pre-orders have gone to the EP over the single. The track on the EP has started off well though! Really want this to be #1. :wub: They also have three physical singles. :lol:

Can we please stop this 'it's awful so it'll obviously be #1 lol' thing EVERYONE. Really irritating to read.

This week might be more interesting than the past couple as far as the top end of the chart goes, of course all these versions for Can We Dance being so high already is a great start for them but I think they might do a Lawson (just with slightly less of a fall and a higher end peak) and maybe 'only' end up at #2 or #3 by the end of the week with Katy or Jason taking the top spot (not gonna get my hopes up for Demi). Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I'm reasonably confident both The Vamps and Demi will fade over the week and, failing a highly unlikely shock #1 from Chase & Status, we'll just end up with Jason or Katy at #1 again. But the pessimist in me thinks they're going to spam 'Skyscraper' AGAIN on XF tomorrow (this whole situation reeks of label payola) and it'll end up taking #1 much to the delight of pretty much everyone except me and SevenSeize.

It was hardly 'spam', they played it for like 15 seconds tonight and Hannah sang it last week... They've done the same with Lifted for example, it just hasn't had such a boost.

May as well say they've been spamming every song they used as a soundbed tonight if that's the case for 'Skyscraper'... :unsure:

I think having the same song as a performance / prominent backing music on 3 (4?) consecutive shows is pretty much spamming it.

I guess it really is a case of a song that was just underexposed. It had all the makings of a hit, but I guess it just wasn't heard enough on the radio/ tv at the time or maybe got overshadowed by other big hits at the time, Lana, etc.

No, it won't be top 10 this week.

Although I doubt that crowd will be happy with my pre-order of Austin Mahone. Oop. Good song though! Very clean bright pop.

 

I don't even know what The Vamps are and I intend to remain blissfully ignorant. Still haven't heard 'Talk Dirty' either.
