Wikipedia describes them as an English indie-pop band who grew a fanbase by supporting McFly on tour (not surprising given that they're basically nu McFly)

James, Connor and Brad's versions are all 59p too, but were trailing behind quite a bit. It's probably more to do with the CD singles more than anything (#emelireference). Could just be because it's the best version (I doubt it), but yeah... fans will be buying this en masse to make up for the non-existent physical.

Nope, many Westlife sales yes, but Spice Girls weren't really multi-bought - for example I only have 1 of each.

Well, there's proof if ever there was any. They were a "devotional" band whose fans bought both CD's at the time, especially when they started putting video's on one version. You're only deluding yourself if you believe that Westlife were any more or less a band sustained on those type of sales than the Spice Girls.

Exactly, I recall being at Meadowhall in December 1996 in HMV and seeing a fair few people with both CD's of "2 Become 1" in their hands. I think I've got both versions of "Viva Forever" somewhere!
