We've had the radio edit of track for about 3/4 weeks now! they have tweeted to our member Jonjo Just got a reply from one of the DJ's from CapitalFM (2nd biggest (?) - might even be the biggest now tbh - radio station after Radio 1). Saying that he "can't wait until they are sent it to play it" or something! Why aren't they sending it to UK stations yet? The release is what 4 weeks away now? They did that with Emeli Sandé 'Clown' and Gabrielle Aplin 'The Power Of Love' too before dropping them from the playlist. Surprised Atlas has even hung around for that long considering it's long been and gone from the charts.

Radio 1 don't devise their playlist based on the actual songs, they do it based on the artist and their profile...

One of the more recent examples is The Wanted, I can appreciate if they chose not to playlist one song but they've now not playlisted the last three singles even though they playlisted all the singles before and I'm guessing that this is down to their fading popularity.

My point is that the song doesn't sound suited to their target audience, as in it sounds a bit pre-teenage girly. I still like it though.

It's true they rarely blist a song for more than 6 weeks esp this being top 40 for one week maybe it's just because it's Coldplay?
October 11, 201313 yr Grimmy announced this morning that Britney will be live on the breakfast show next Wednesday. And he even played a bit of Work Bitch during the announcement! This makes me think that they might playlist it after all. Oh and then following the announcement, he proceeded to play Toxic - in full!
