Posted October 23, 201311 yr Just been announced today that all the acts from series 1 of The Big Reunion - 5ive, Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, Liberty X, 911 and Honeyz - are teaming up to release a cover of the Wizzard festive classic to be released as a single on 15th December to compete for this year's Christmas number one. Profits from the sale of the single will be donated to ITV's "Text Santa" appeal and there'll be a special one off episode of the show about the making of the single on ITV2 in December. It's like Childliners for the 2010s :) Edited October 23, 201311 yr by ThePensmith
October 23, 201311 yr on 15th December Perfect date to release tbh :smoke: only good things happen on the 15th.
October 23, 201311 yr Woo excited to hear this, would be hilarious/amazing if it got to #1 over xfactor (would never happen but I can dream)
October 23, 201311 yr Oh no. I am no fan of people covering the best Christmas song in history but I'll give it the benefit of a doubt when it gets released. Edited October 23, 201311 yr by *Rob*
October 23, 201311 yr I thought, that it is a thread about the reunion of pop group AllSTARS*. :( That happening wouldn't warrant its own mention let alone thread.

October 23, 201311 yr Oh my god! That's my favourite Xmas song, it'll be like a modern day Thank ABBA For The Music *.* I can't wait to hear this, competing with Underneath The Tree for my Xmas #1? I have no idea how well this could do, it screams low top 75 flop but then Steps' Ultimate Collection bizarrely went to #1 in the album chart so I never underestimate the power of nostaglia.
October 23, 201311 yr Author I think with the charity backing behind it this could very well be a surprise hit. Top 20 at the very least. You only have to look at the success of the Military Wives' Choir and the JFT96 record last year to see that charity singles have outdone X Factor winners a lot in recent years.
October 23, 201311 yr Oh dear!! I won't pass judgement until I hear the track but I'm not going to get carries away!! There's going to be a TV show to go with the video so I wouldn't be surprised if this went top 5 but I don't see it challenging for the Xmas number 1 but stranger things have happened

December 13, 201311 yr The video is in the above post B-) Rather sub par but it was charity and for fun so it don't matter really. Predict top 25 in the Christmas charts at most.
December 13, 201311 yr What the hell... where's the production in the iTunes version!? Reminds me of that dodgy version of 'Get Like Me' that was released!
December 14, 201311 yr It's alright actually. Can't help thinking that Lee Ryan should have sang that final part though- he has a much better voice then Kevin.
