The chart runs are going to look very strange. Promising for the album though that these are all doing so well, could it outsell Daft Punk's first week record (I sure hope so!)

 

Tinie Tempah at #8 on the update, should creep up to #5/6 at least by the week end and then get another boost with the Teen Awards/album release hopefully.

Lets say yesterday the 2 songs sold the same.

 

TM needs to cut 29K in 4 days.

 

If 1D sells 18K a day.... TM is selling 30K a day.

 

If 1D is selling 12K a day TM is selling 20K a day.

 

So 8K difference × 4 days = 32K

It is not only Monster's high sales, 1D seem to be trailing back! They should not get much more than 100k by Sunday (I would say not even 6 digits). It is quite a surprise so many people here feel that 1D new song is strong. It is low tempo and less exciting than the rest of their lead singles, less 13-15 year olds (which is their target group) should be keen to download it.

I agree. I actually think 1D might end up at 3/4 this week, they seem to be dropping a lot, and airplay hasn't been great because it's so new.

That can start falling if it wants, tbh. Still the only track on the album I'm not that keen on (although 'No One's Here to Sleep' is NEARLY as bad). They should release the remix instead. :(

I wouldn't say that's completely true. I've heard it a lot on Kiss already and they are NOT usually ones to pick up a new song that quickly!
