October 29, 201312 yr I see no reason why Sam can't win. It's not like she has any other competition other than Hannah, who isn't as popular as we'd thought originally, and Tamera, who is too good for the public to get.

October 29, 201312 yr Yeah I really can't see anyone but Nicholas winning :( Only him, Sam B and Tamera really have a chance, and if someone bubbly and lovely like Hannah hasn't endeared herself to the public, a teenage girl with reports of shoplifting surrounding her won't be much better... I hope the public see her star quality but I don't think they'll take to her :( she'll probably be third though due to lack of competition. I made this comment before I saw the Australian X Factor final and saw that both Dami Im and Samantha Jade were in the overs category! :o I had NO IDEA. I genuinely thought they'd won through the girls category. Both look (and sound) youthful! :lol: I agree with you though. It is a shame! I think Olly Murs was in the overs category so it just shows they CAN be just as successful and marketable. If we'd have had someone like Dami or Samantha on our version I fear they would have been made out to be a novelty act instead of going down the route of interesting and inspiring versions of certain songs. Does the Australian version have themes, btw? I only saw the last part of the final :lol: They didn't have such awful themes as us :lol: The most specific theme this series was probably rock, the others were just 'Musical Heroes', 'Legends', 'Power and Passion', 'Top 10 Hits' etc. and that's good sometimes. They were still enough so that Dami managed to be diverse enough to sing everything from Roar to Bridge Over Troubled Water to Clarity to Purple Rain! I kinda prefer that kind of theme as it doesn't force singers to be out of their comfort zone, but I like one or two.
October 29, 201312 yr BARELY though. Just turned 25 at that time. Hardly a cause to yell OMG HE WAS SO IN THE OVERS!!11 Having someone in their 30's come close to winning/win is more like it and worth mentioning. I'd love Sam B to win this even if I think she won't. I think she'll be this year's Janet Devlin, i.e. topping the vote the first few weeks and then going out. Well the judges will probably keep her Misha B-style until as far as they can but she will not make it to the top. Sam B is EASILY going to get the 'you can't sell records' line within the next few shows. Weirdly I can see Luke Friend doing well, going further than everyone thought. Hannah's not got much longer left in the show, I give it 2/3 weeks until she's up against someone like Luke/Rough Copy/Tamera.
October 30, 201312 yr Tamera should have this in the bag. She really is the only one who has The X Factor. I do agree though that Luke Friend will probably go quite far, probably 3rd I think. Easily the best male on the competition, but that is not saying much at all. Nicholas winning would not be good for the show at all ... how is he going to sell records? He has the personality of a slug? Nothing to him AT ALL. Sam Bailey, as nice as she is and as talented as she is would also do nothing. I think they will push for a Tamera / Rough Copy / Luke Friend win hopefully. They are the three who will be selling records at the end of the day.

October 30, 201312 yr I think they'll push for a Tamera win but I can't see it happening :( I can still only see it being Sam B or Nicholas. Sam B is one of my faves but she'd sell about as well as say Mary Byrne. Really, as Jack said only Tamera, Rough Copy (as much as I hate them) or Luke would be good winners as far as selling records goes.
October 30, 201312 yr Rough Copy are really overrated in terms of... everything... related to the show, tbh. I can't see them being as successful as people think they'll be following the show. They'd probably release an album depending on where they finish on the show, but after that I can only see them releasing the odd EP and touring a lot.
October 30, 201312 yr There is definitely a gap in the market for them though, especially now JLS have split up or whatever. Kingsland Road for example would probably have next to no success due to the over saturation of boybands already on the market. Would probably do a Union J at best really.
