What I can't understand is how the Monster hasn't moved between the Tuesday and Wednesday updates - even with one day difference it surely should have risen several places with the lead it has? Anyway, I'm hoping One Direction don't get their fifth number 1 on Sunday.

October 31, 201312 yr I agree with Slowdown73 - One Direction don't deserve another number 1. They are unbelievably overhyped, given far too much media attention which only exacerbates Simon Cowells well oiled publicity machine. There are far more credible bands including "boy bands" that deserve more recognition and success than they get compared to One Direction. I'm not keen on Eminem but would rather he have another number one under his belt.

October 31, 201312 yr I want eminem to do it because he hasn't had a no1 in years & his chart history will look impressive with a no1 return this far into his career esp against this generations biggest boyband. But that's one thing I will say I'm impressed with 1D they/the label haven't held back their releases to make sure they get a no1 like most labels of these bands do they let the fans have it immediately which is good in this day & age! Best Song Ever had some pretty decent longevity also so hopefully this can follow suit.

For them this is actually quite a low-key release :lol: No video or airplay prior to the release as usual but there wasn't even a pre-order, or X Factor performance like Little Things had. :lol:

That would have helped guarantee it in the Top 2 on Sunday. Still, #3 would still be alright and I can definitely see it having more longevity than BSE.

I agree, the music channels love them and would have played it a fair amount, meaning more exposure for it. They've got the video out on Sunday so I guess that'll help prevent too much of a drop for week 2, and I'm sure they'll be performing this on X Factor in a few weeks too, either the day before the CD's out (10th November) or the day before the album's out (24th November).
