October 29, 201312 yr Arcade Fire's sales seem quite low... How did their previous albums open? I know that their previous album (The Suburbs I think it was called) debuted at #1 with 66k in August 2010 - the summer! :o I thought they'd have managed at least 35k+ for this album.

We often get midweek reports saying 'Amazon data missing' or similar so all they'd need to do would be to exclude iTunes data for those songs and keep all data from other sites, they're just being lazy by not doing so imo as those sales are perfectly chart eligible.

October 29, 201312 yr I don't understand where these boybands are getting such devoted fans from. Never heard of them until they were suddenly top 60 on iTunes. I think it's just surplus 1D fans that can't get close to meeting them anymore so are happy to go and scream at any available boy band!
October 29, 201312 yr Didn't Arcade Fire release their single way too early though? I don't think it's really necessary for an act like them to have a single charting a week or two before the album. It helped generate buzz and seven weeks wasn't completely excessive.
October 29, 201312 yr But my feeling is that the buzz did peak too long before the album was actually out. It would have been a good time to release a first single and then have a second one out now.
October 29, 201312 yr Foxes being top 5 isn't that shocking, up until the single version was deleted she was about #11 combined and the EP would have made up the rest. I can't imagine she has any sort of comfortable lead over the rest of the top 10 though, think she'll have left it by Friday.
