Now you're realy clutching at straws. For a post-album single there's not worthwhile difference.

I'm not clutching at straws? I'm not creating excuses for how it did, and I'm not arguing against how it did. I even said on the previous page that it was a flop single.

I'm stating that Dec 17th was an impact date because it wasn't a release date - nothing was "released" in that week for BCYLM. No further formats were ever planned to be released - i.e. nothing was cancelled, which is what was claimed on the previous page. That's all I was saying really.

Really picking up now, hopefully another T10 for Avicii!

Oh when did Avicii get that high :o I'm yet to hear 'Hey Brother' but it being described as 'even more country than Wake Me Up' doesn't make me want to flock to it. (Not that 'Wake Me Up' was very country at all, it was more folk-influenced than country).

'Free', 'Unconditionally' and 'Trumpets' getting that high have all passed me by completely as well. Clearly haven't been paying too much attention to iTunes this week! Fab to see 'Bound 2' in the top 50, doing a hell of a lot better than Jay-Z's second single at least (can't believe 'Tom Ford' didn't even go top 100, it's so good :()

Watch Rihanna come out of nowhere and perform on the X factor final and have The monster and What now both top 10 just to show those that have been talking about Miley, Gaga, Katy and Britney this 4th quarter haha.

I have been thinking this, especially since she has come out in support of Tamera. My guessing is that they want Tamera in the final so she can hopefully have a Alexandra and Beyonce moment with Rihanna. Also RiRi is due her annual X Factor appearance/performance.

Omg that's such a good point. Tamera and Rihanna would be brilliant, they'd probably sing "Stay" though. Rihanna could easily perform with Rough Copy or Hannah though. Maybe even Luke.

More than likely, Simon loves Rihanna and I'm sure he will be doing everything to have her on the final. I can see Rihanna performing What Now and doing Diamonds with Tamera. Plus she is currently filming the video for The Monster. Would be so funny if even without releasing a new album this Christmas she still ends up being the queen of the Christmas market again.

Hmm. I'm all for another RiRi appearance (especially for 'What Now' <3) but hopefully Eminem could get a slot too and they can both perform 'The Monster'? Considering Elton is also apparently on the final show, aren't them two good friends? So maybe Em might be more inclined to say yes if he knew both Elton and RiRi were gonna be there. [/backtoreality]
I had no idea Eminem and Elton John were friends! :o Then again Elton is friends with Lady Gaga so
Love Thursdays on iTunes all the average performing songs reach new highs, no surprise also at unconditionally shooting up with the video release!
