No surprise that this is last of the sixteen songs on the album. The first of the three deluxe tracks (also including 'It Takes Two' and 'Choose Your Battles') is probably the most forgettable song on the album. Still a very beautiful song in its own right, but just not up there with the quality of the other ballads on the album such as 'By the Grace of God' and 'Unconditionally'.

 

Spiritual is decent but not a massive loss at this stage, there are far better.

Yet another of the deluxe tracks on the album drops out, and this time it's the very beautiful 'Choose Your Battles'. Didn't quite click at first for me - and it's definitely not as good as the one remaining deluxe song 'It Takes Two' (which is absolutely stunning!), but the chorus is quite lovely and the lyrics are very powerful and touching. But as with 'Spiritual', definitely not one of the best on the album.

Finally we get to one of the standard album tracks, and this time it's the absolutely beautiful 'This Moment'. Very underrated, Katy delivers such a powerful vocal here, and the lyrics in the chorus are just divine. Still shouldn't be outside the top ten though, but what can you do? At least now we know one of the deluxe tracks has made it into the top 13 (not anything amazing but STILL - yay for 'It Takes Two' being highest of the three!).

I knew I had forgotten something...

'Spiritual' is definitely the most forgettable song on the album. I do still like it though. 'Choose Your Battles' so low though :( Deserved to reach the top 10! 'This Moment' is nice enough, but I definitely don't like it as much as the first few times I heard the album.

 

Would like a 'Roar', 'Unconditionally' or 'Dark Horse' win right now. But I do love this album a lot. <3

So Buzzjack has decided to banish the top 10 of any of the deluxe tracks on the album and instead leave it for some mediocre tracks on the standard album as well as the singles. The last of the three to fall is the absolutely sensational 'It Takes Two' with a killer chorus and some beautiful lyrics to go along with it! Really hope this is performed on the 2014 tour, would make for a beautiful segment sandwiched between 'Unconditionally' and 'Dark Horse' (maybe?).

Oh maaaaan. Was hoping this would be safely inside the top 10! :( I prefer 'Choose Your Battles' (JUST) but both are definitely in my top 5/6 of the album!

Interesting to note that all of the songs thus far have been ones close to the end of the album (or at the very end in the case of 'Choose Your Battles') - so had you all given up on it by then? No exception for 'Double Rainbow' which comes in at just #12. Not shocking seeing as it was hyped up to be better than it actually was and is a bit of a disappointing ballad by Katy's standards. It does have some beautiful lyrics scattered throughout though, and a pleasant chorus, however.

Not surprising to see this drop out next, although how it's about 'It Takes Two' and 'This Moment' at all is quite ridiculous. One of the up-beat songs on the album, but just not amazing at all, especially when most of the album appears to be driven by some crazy up-beat songs such as 'Roar', 'Birthday' and 'Waking on Air'. Some of the production on it is a little bit iffy, but at the same time it still has some killer vocals from Katy.

Aww, I love International Smile but it could be better than what it is - the production is good, and very Teenage Dream, but it lacks SOMETHING. Very good track though.

So that's another track in the latter half of the album GONE. The only one that remains now is 'By the Grace of God', but where will that rank? This is definitely quite underrated, I think. It's got a beautiful chorus and has one of those moments where Katy just gives EVERYTHING she has and pours every single emotion into the song - although not as powerful as it is in other songs; but it doesn't need to be. The lyrics, of course, are very beautiful and touching too. Definitely one of the best album tracks!

THANKFULLY dropping out now is the absolutely horrendous and seriously trashy 'This Is How We Do'. How it received so many 10's and how it managed to rank higher than the likes of 'Love Me', 'It Takes Two' and 'Choose Your Battles' is baffling. Definitely the worst on the album I think. Not her worst song of all time though, but it's definitely down there. It's a shame though, because being among the up-beat tracks it really should be amazing, but just... isn't.
