So after plummeting at the start of the week (admittedly mainly by default below the new releases), "Girls" could even climb this week. Showing great tenacity but I fera it'll get put back to 99p any day now and never make the top 40. Very reminiscent of "Closer To The Edge" a few years back.

It's still alisted at radio 1 which will mean its always got a chance of rising into the top 40. It's been alisted for like 8-10 weeks now!

Just been doing some ~musical catchup~, that All About She song is nothing like what I expected it to be (in a good way)! UK garage coming back with a bang. Hope it can do well next week.

The Sam Smith/Nile Rodgers/Disclosure/Jimmy Napes song is really good too, Disclosure can do no wrong it seems, everything they touch just sounds really fresh (even after I've heard it about a billion times like 'White Noise'). Hope they're planning to actually give that song a push instead of just putting it out there, though I know Disclosure have their own single to promote now.

And 'What Now' is really good on first listen as well, not surprised it seems to be doing well for Rihanna after her last couple of singles bombed (although I really liked 'Pour It Up' as well, but that was never really going to be a hit especially with its extremely sloppy release strategy).

Agree with all bras points above All About She was played on r1 today & it does sound quite fresh albeit chart friendly, hope it doesn't get blown away by the Xmas rush. It reminds me of mid noughties garage tracks that were big!

Like Rihanna's new one too after basically forgetting anything released after Stay last January!

All About She's song is one of my favourites this year. I always wish I was 10 years older so I could have fully experienced UK garage, but a revival would make up for it (we kind of had one in 2007/2008 time, but it only turned out to be a few chart hits). I was so happy when Radio 1 playlisted it.

Yeah, I love What Now. I'm glad it's got a chance at top 40. I think maybe The Monster's success might have helped. Pour It Up was a tune, but I'm annoyed it missed top 40. However, I said in her album thread on release week that it's the least commercial song from her album, I'm kind of surprised that it's ended up as one of the most famous songs from her album. I really never expected it. Same with Loveeeeeee Song.

I use Excel 2003 as well and have no real desire to update. The more up to date versions look terrible.

And if I were just using it for myself, that would be OK - but if you have to use a later version for work, you need to know how to use it, plus Office 2010 files are not directly compatible with 2003.

59p songs in the top 100:

 14 AWOLNATION - Sail

 22 Rudimental feat. Emeli Sandé - Free

 32 Rizzle Kicks - Skip To The Good Bit

 39 Dizzee Rascal feat. Teddy Sky - Love This Town

 40 Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

 45 The 1975 - Girls

 73 Rod Stewart - Forever Young

 74 Busted - Year 3000

Nice to see the Monster up at #4...

Can this go back to #1 when the video drops?

All I know is this seems to become another (at least) Platinum song. Even 1M seller if it has the longevity LTWYL had

It's been A-listed for 5 weeks (not 8-10 weeks!) and will more than likely be dropped from the playlist next week... I think realistically this week will be its last chance to go Top 40.

76. Eminem- Rap God

The music video will probably help this climb up the chart. What's with the Max Headroom tribute in the video?

Sorry i meant from when it was added to the playlist which is how i count my weeks!

I am actually hoping One Direction to repeak this week but would like them number 3 and Gary Barlow number 2. Story of my life has held very steady for One Direction and no doubt will continue to do so for a few weeks yet, they will mange 6-7 weeks top 10.

1D's top 100 presence now reduced to 'Story Of My Life' #2, 'You & I' #77 and 'Best Song Ever' #78+100 :D Seems like they will definitely only have 3 songs top 40 this week then (only 1 of which is there fairly but that's a different point), 'Strong' and 'Midnight Memories' are clinging on by the skin of their teeth today and they're all the way down at #174 and #107 respectively on iTunes.

(Which means the drought of artists with 4 top 40 hits in the same week will continue of course).

22. Rudimental - Free (feat. Emeli Sandé)

25. Jessie J - Thunder

great to see Dan Croll making it into the top 1500 ^.^ Gorgon City seem to be doing really well already, a potential top 5 hit?

'Boy Oh Boy' actually being deleted and held back? I guess they're gonna promote it properly then after it went top 75 a few weeks ago.
Er am I imagining things. I saw Celine as low as 81 about 2 hours back and now she's 50. Any reason for this jump? (Not complaining though)

Mariah & The. Pogues must be top 40 combined now which annoys me cos they'll just miss out this week & enter next week near top 20 #chartgeek.

Anyway some different music on tv this weekend which is Brillant but won't affect the singles chart

Alan Carr - Beady Eye - Iz Rite

Graham Norton - Arcade Fire - second single

Wossy - Olly Murs - new single

XF - Rebecca Ferguson & Leona Lewis
